September 28th 2015 COMMUNITY FREE CHURCH WEEKLY What is the full scope of the project? - We will be adding glass doors between the foyer and the worship center. The reason is two-fold. First it will make a huge visual impact, but more importantly it is for safety as the solid metal doors have caused quite a few accidents. - We will be re-carpeting the worship center this week. This will make a major difference as our carpeting is 20 years old and starting to show heavy wear. - The nursery area is becoming a bright, transparent, safe environment for kids to learn about Jesus. Some additions are: - Appealing and visible foyer area to safe dedicated kid check-in. - Lots of windows and bright colors! - New door to an outside play yard. - Cry room with windows to allow parents to stay in service with a crying infant. - New heavy padded carpeting. - Flatscreen TVʼs mounted in the rooms. - New hallway upstairs to adult classrooms. at Community Free Church of Mahomet As many of you have already seen via Facebook, email, and at church on Sunday the nursery construction is progressing along. If you havenʼt had a chance to see it stop in because its exciting! Donʼt forget to continue to pray for the ways that the space will bring Glory to God as they grow in grace. With over 98 kids in AWANA and new families in the church with children I believe that God is giving us a taste, just a taste, of what is to come! NURSERY REMODEL

COMMUNITYFREE CHURCH WEEKLY

What is the full scope of the project?- We will be adding glass doors between the

foyer and the worship center.

Some additions are:

- Appealing and visible foyer area to safe dedicated kid check-in.

- Lots of windows and bright colors!- New door to an outside play yard.- Cry room with windows to allow parents to

stay in service with a crying infant. - New heavy padded carpeting. - Flatscreen TVʼs mounted in the rooms.- New hallway upstairs to adult classrooms.

As many of you have already seen via Facebook, email, and at church on Sunday the nursery construction is progressing along.

Bridges is a curriculum developed by Crescent Project that is meant to introduce Christians to Islam and pave the way for building relationships with the Muslims in your community.Christians have responded to Muslims in many ways, but all too often, without the compassion that characterized Jesus. Bridges seeks to replace fear and intimidation with love and gentle boldness, reshaping the way Christians view and respond to their Muslim neighbors.Bridges is one-of-a-kind because it focuses on similarities, not differences. Christianity and Islam are not the same, but they are similar. You can learn how to take similar concepts in Christianity and Islam, and build a bridge.

Bridges meets you where you are. The teaching found in Bridges is easy to understand even if you donʼt have much prior knowledge of Islam. The material is also valuable to those seeking to build on what they already know about Muslims.Bridges is practical and biblical. Bridges allows you to gain biblical insight into Islamic history and Muslim beliefs, while providing useful next steps and stories that help you put the teaching into practice.

When: October 17th 9am to 12pm (Lunch provided afterwards)We will be having our first “mini” prayer retreat at Lake in the Woods park where we will pray, seek God, and together see what He is saying to us. What comes out of this will impact the church in the months to come.

We will be using a book that Pastor Jason and Jan Piasecki recently read, “Divine Strongholds” by Terry Terkyl. If you would like a copy (encouraged) please call the church office or see Jan. The donation is $10 per book. We will also have some scheduled coffee times to gather, pray and discuss the book.

This past Sunday Kay Elmer, the Helbling Family (Dave and Laura), the Elliott Family (Matt and Jamie) and the Vohs Family (Devon and Sandi) attended the New Member Luncheon and indicated their desire to become members of CEFCM.

As listed in our bylaws, their names are to be posted to the congregation for 2 weeks in the event that there is something that the Elders missed as we discussed membership with these families and individuals. If you have a concern please contact one of the Elders.
