Lord Ramachandra is the SupremePersonality of Godhead whoappeared in Treta Yuga to establishprinciples of religion, morality andrighteousness. Lord Rama was bornto King Dasharatha and QueenKausalya in Ayodhya. He had threeyounger brothers Bharata,Lakshmana and Shatrughna. Hewas the ideal son, brother, husbandand king.The life and activities of Sri Rama are explained in detail by thegreat sage Valmiki in the epic Ramayana. A summarized versionof the Ramayana as narrated by Shukadeva Goswami to ParikshitMaharaja is included in the ninth canto of Srimad-Bhagavatam(Bhagavata Purana).
