Dear Church Family, As you receive this newsletter we are preparing for our first weekend of having 2 services. On Sunday, September 3, 2017 we will add an additional worship service. The two morning services will be held at 8:30 AM and 11:00 AM with Sunday School remaining at its regular time at 10:00 AM. I know that Bellview is no stranger to multiple services. This is something to celebrate! Praise the Lord, God is growing His Church and we get to be a part of witnessing it. Yes, I know it is a commitment and extra work, but this is just one transitional step as God builds the Kingdom. I remind you of our vision again (I want you to grab hold of this, that’s why I repeat it often). Our Vision: We want to see lives transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ one person at a time. Our Mission: This is the “how” of the vision. We want to pursue our vision by making disciples and engaging our community and world for Christ. Our Strategy: We can fulfill the mission and vision through 3 strategic areas: Love, Grow, and Serve Love: We desire to Love God and Love People Grow: We want to grow as followers of Christ and make more disciples who follow Christ.

Serve: We want use our gifts to serve the local church and to serve those outside our church family.

If we continue to relentlessly pursue this vision, then we have to prepare and be ready for the blessings God wants to send us. What can you do? What is your part?

1. Be patient. With transitions, there are always logistics and kinks that have to be worked through.

2. Be supportive. Encourage one another. Pray for wisdom for your pastor and leaders as they lead the church to do what God has called them to do.

3. Be involved. Find somewhere you can serve. As the body of Christ, we need each other and must rely on one another.

4. Be excited. God is at work. We have seen 28 people baptized and 33 new members join our church family. Talk about what God is doing and invite others to come see what God is doing at Bellview.

5. Be faithful. Be faithful in attending services, be faithful in serving, be faithful in giving. I believe God has so much more in store for Bellview! We must remain faithful! I love you church. We are in this TOGETHER! All For His Glory, Pastor Carey

Welcome to a new year for Women’s Ministry! Some faces have changed, but our purpose

remains the same.

1. Our first Bible study for the new church year will begin on Wednesday, September 27th

at 6:15 pm. This is an 8 week study. I only have 10 copies of the book. You will need to

read Chapter one for the first session.

2. The WMU myMission group will meet in the Family Life Center on Monday, September

25th at 6:30 pm. This group is for ages 18-39. Our guest speaker will be Martha Gillen

from Covering of Love. A dinner will be served. You will not have to pay for your

dinner, but a generous donation for Covering of Love will be appreciated. In lieu of

monetary donations, you may bring packages of underwear for women (all sizes are

needed). Childcare will be furnished.

3. Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child Nation Collection Week is November 13 –

20. Be getting your shoebox items together. Changes for the year include: $9 per box to

cover shipping, no candy and no toothpaste. Helpful packing information and items will

be provided for you before the end of September.

4. I will be coordinating the Abundance Conference in Greenville on November 3-4. The

conference consists of Praise and Worship. The cost is $69.

Men of Bellview, summer is fast fading and we are looking forward to cooler days and nights.

We have been doing studies from Johnny hunt.

The first one was “Much More”.

Do you desire much more of a relationship with Jesus?

The second was “Full”.

Are we as Christ-followers content in where God has us in our personal life?

We invite all men to come join us as we grow. Also we are planning our second Men’s Clay

Day. We hope to spark the interest of more men and that they will attend all growth

opportunities Bellview has to offer.

BBC Kids Choir Resumes September 10th and will be held during the 8:30 am & 11:00 am services in the Fellowship Hall.

BBC Kids Worship will be held during the 8:30 am & 11:00 am services in the Fellowship Hall.

BBC Kids Sunday Nights will resume on September 10th @ 6 pm in the gym.

Youth Bible Study resumes on Sunday, September 10th @ 6 pm

CVS Pharmacy in Woodruff will be setting up a Flu Shot Clinic

here at Bellview. The date has not been set. We need all those INTERESTED in receiving the flu shot at Bellview, to sign up on the Bulletin Board.

Scott Mashburn is our contact person. CVS will file all necessary insurance paperwork prior to the clinic.

Pastor Carey will be teaching a New Members Class on Sunday, September 24th & October 1st. If you have recently joined or rejoined Bellview Baptist Church, we would like for you to attend this class. It will be taught during Sunday School at 10 am. The class if for adults. (We are planning a class for children and youth

in the future.) Please sign up on the bulletin board so we can make sure we have enough materials.

Pastor Carey will be leading some Discipleship Training Classes on Sunday nights. These classes are for those being led to help develop and teach discipleship classes. The class

will include a workbook with 5 lessons for each week. The date has not been set.

If you are interested in being a part of this Training, please sign up on the bulletin

board.
