SCHOOL MUSICAL

What a fabulous success! My congratulations to students for an amazing night of entertainment and cultural

experience. To my staff and parent community, thanks for the many months of afterschool commitment with

coaching the main cast, and preparing costumes, props and sets. Congratulations Mr Russell Newbound for

your superb work as Director for the first time!

A stunning night at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre with a great many accolades received from our

parents who were thrilled with the calibre of the evening and the performance.

ANNUAL GOLDEN BAY PRIMARY SCHOOL ART SHOW

We have already commenced all the preparations for our annual Art Show. The theme this year is ‘Arts By The

Bay’. In term four we will be celebrating the work of all students with a week of Visual and Performing Arts run

out of the undercover area afterschool between Monday and Thursday.

The week will commence on Monday 20 November between 3:30 and 7:00pm. As part of the opening

afternoon/evening there will be an art display in the undercover area coupled with students performing

instrumental music pieces. Additional art activities are being organised for the community to engage with on

the Monday afternoon with lots of fun to be had! The P&C will be organising a sausage sizzle as part of the

evening.

END OF TERM

My sincere thanks to our whole school community for your support and assistance throughout this term. It’s

your partnership with us that helps maintain a focus on all that we hold as important to learning, and the

social and emotional growth of kids . I wish all our students and families a safe and enjoyable holiday!

Students return to school on Tuesday 10 October.

Sports Carnival Sausage Sizzle

Our P&C will be holding a sausage sizzle for students, teachers and families/friends attending the

sports carnival on Thursday 12 October & Friday 13 October. Pre-order of a sausage in a bun and

juice/water for $5.00 is available for students and teachers. Family and friends can purchase on

the day. To pre-order a meal deal for your child please write your child’s order, name, faction and

room number clearly on a sealed envelope with the correct payment and return to your class

teacher by 10 October. Students that have pre-ordered will have their meal deal delivered to their

faction tent at lunch.

2017 FACTION CARNIVALS

Our school is growing in numbers each year. This year we will have a

Junior Faction Athletics Carnival Day and two days for the Senior

Faction Athletics Carnival. By having separate days, students will be

in a minimum of 10 events, scoring points for their faction in each

event.

All students will receive ribbons and stickers throughout the day. Each student will also receive a

certificate in their faction colour to take home. Those year 4, 5 and 6 students who perform

exceptionally well in the championship events will receive a trophy as Champion or Runner Up.

Here are the dates, times and events. Times are approximate and may change slightly depending on

the weather and other unforeseen circumstances.
