9  Easy Steps on how to become a Dictator By: Jack McLeod 

 

                    

  

 Step 1) Your country must be under tension (Germany after becoming poor to the treaty 

of versailles and also Germany’s need for someone to lead them out of their Great Depression and get them back to being a World Power)  

                   

 Step 2) You must have access to military control to fully take over country (Mussolini 

was the supreme ruler of the army and had complete control over the decisions made in the army)   

                        

 Step 3) You must convince your people of the country to believe that you have no 

intentions of being bad. (Hirohito would speak and would say what he was doing, but he was very talented at tricking the people into following him to take over the Pacific Theater)  

                   

 Step 4) You must be able to take over and control a way of life or religion (As Hitler did to 

the Jewish population and also how Stalin killed his own people in the Soviet Union)  

                          

 Step 5) Reach out to your allies for (military) help in taking over surrounding land 

(Germany reached out to Japan and Soviet Union for Military aid in WWII)   

                      

 Step 6) You must be secretive and undercover with your ways (No one should know 

what you really plan to do, or you will get killed or at least stopped in your master plan)  

                           

 Step 7) You must narcissistic and selfish in your ways (You can’t be afraid to be mean 

and inhumane to races and you also can not have a guilty heart, or what you do every day will consume you)  

                   

 Step 8) You must be charismatic and radical with our ways (Like every dictator was in 

the Late 30’s to Early to Mid 40’s and almost every dictator that ever lived)  

                           

 Step 9) Optional: If you have an intimidating name, it could scare your opponents (Nazi’s 

as an example of an indimating name)
