Problem of waste management primarily lies in poor segregation of waste and governance. IconSWM – ISWMAW involves in spreading awareness, carrying out research and implementation activities in the areas related to Waste Management worldwide to promote environmentally sound waste management practices, effluent treatment, Air and Water pollution control practices and general environment protection awareness in different parts of the country and abroad. The sustainable management of waste, sanitation and water resources is a fundamental goal of the United Nations, articulated in the Sustainable Development Goals 2030. The management of these resources has a direct bearing on the quality of lives for all, but more especially communities in cities. The 8th IconSWM 2018 will deliberate on various issues related to innovation and implementation in sustainable waste management including policies & strategies, segregation, collection, transportation, biological and thermal and mechanical treatment technologies, life cycle analysis, climate change, circular economy, research and business opportunities etc. 8th IconSWM will be attended by nearly 900 delegates from nearly 35 countries.
