ANZAC Service
This Thursday the Student Councillors will be masters of ceremony at the school’s ANZAC
ceremony. The service commences at 9am on the basketball court in front of the flagpole.
All families are welcome to attend.
Open Night
Tonight from 5-7pm is the opportunity for children to show case what they have learnt so far this
year. I look forward to seeing families sharing this time with their children. If you haven’t had the
opportunity to meet your child’s teacher as of yet, then tonight presents a great opportunity. Teachers
will have time to discuss in general terms the progress of your child. If you are after further details
then make an appointment with the teacher for a later date. Our P&C workhorses will be conducting
a sausage sizzle outside of the hall. If you are able to help for a short amount of time then I’m sure
this would be gratefully accepted.
Swimming Carnivals
Over the last fortnight Years 4-7 students participated in the school faction and interschool
swimming carnivals . North Kalgoorlie were runners up at the interschool. Congratulations to all
those involved and all students who participated in the faction carnival.

Choir Excursion Choir for Term One, 2014 has ended off with a bang! The choir students performed at the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Community Fair on Friday the 4
th of April and they really
did NKPS proud. Although there was a sound malfunction at the beginning, this did not seem to bother them one little bit and once they got singing, had an absolute blast. It was really fantastic to see parents there supporting us! I would like to personally thank Natalie Hywood, Raylene Shaw and Terry Leslie for giving up their time and accompanying me on the day. All of the singers involved in the choir have already demonstrated commitment, dedication and above all an energetic love of singing – I can already tell that 2014 is going to be another very successful year for the school choir.
