Our Musical FutureCharlotte Symphony Youth Orchestras (CSYO) represent the future of classical music. Supported by The Symphony Guild of Charlotte, the CSYO is an integral educational component of the Charlotte Symphony and features many of the area’s most talented and promising young musicians.The Junior Youth Orchestra (JYO) engages students in grades 4 through 9; The Youth Orchestra is comprised of students in grades 8 through 12. Almost 200 young musicians from over 60 schools in the greater Charlotte area participate in the youth orchestras. The CSYO has performed at Festival in the Park, Summer Pops at SouthPark, Carnegie Hall in New York, Piccolo Spoleto Festival in Charleston and Atlas Performing Arts Center in Washington, DC.
