On 08/16/2020 at 09:45 hours, Officer Moser (60250) responded to a disorder at Kambio 2 located at 4901 Bonny Oaks Dr. I spoke to the complainant, Torrey Blanks who stated he went into the business, grabbed a can of beer and popped the top and paidfor his slushy and was going to pay for the beer but was told he cannot buy beer until 1000 hrs. Mr. Blanks got mad when told he was charged for the beer but could not have it.

On 08/16/2020 at 16:00 hours, Officer Nye, Becca (84857) responded to a unconscious party at 1664 Greendale Way. Upon arrival, I tried waking the male party up. His pants were down and he appeared to be sleeping, as he was snoring audibly. I finally was able to get the party to wake up. He stated his name was Clarence Devon Crowder and could barely talk at first, but as he woke up more he was more coherent. Medics looked at Mr. Crowder and he did not need to be transported. Mr. Crowder stated he was staying with his brother in these apartments but could not recall the number, I let him go to the apartment. No further actions were taken by police.

On 08/16/2020 at 14:12 hours, Officer Moser (60250) responded to an assist a citizen at 1304 Joiner Rd. I spoke to the complainant, Holly Worley who stated she got into an argument with her boyfriend, Kyle Sanders last night and Police responded.

Ms. Worley stated that she and Kyle are not dating anymore and she wanted to get her belongings from Kyle's residence.Ms. Worley stated she had furniture and clothing inside the residence.

I spoke to Kyle Sanders who stated that Ms. Worley did not have personal items at his residence and did not want her to come inside.

On 08/16/2020 at 15:09 hours, Officer R. Ballard (60157) responded to a Shoplifting at 1330 E 3rd St. Upon arrival, I spoke with employee, Tabitha Taylor. Ms. Taylor reported a b/f took a pack of Budlight beer (18 pack) and walked out the store without paying for it. Ms. Taylor reported the suspect was wearing a blue t shirt with blond dreads. No further information is available at this time.

On 08/16/2020 at 17:19 hours, Officer Simpson (83694) responded to a Shoplifting at 5450 153 Hwy. Police spoke with Ms. Junker. She stated a black female came into the store and loaded a basket with merchandise and ran out when the registers got busy. She stated the suspect got into a black GMC Yukon XL with the tag covered by pink plastic. She valued the merchandise at approximately 15 dollars.

On 08/16/2020 at 18:00 hours, Officer D. Russell (63833) responded to a Theft from Motor Vehicle at 2288 Gunbarrel Rd. Upon my arrival I made contact with Mrs. Jones who stated her son and her went to several stores on this date to buy him items for school. Mrs. Jones stated that they parked their vehicles at Best Buy and began shopping. Upon their return they noticed that several items were removed from their vehicle including all of the items they just purchased for school. I check with Bestbuy about camera footage and there was none. I will be doing a followup to speak with SmartBank to identify any video footage from there business. At this point there is no suspect information. No further.

On 08/18/2020 at 17:17 hours, Officer Chris Bruce (77567) wrote a continuation/supplement for an MVT/Passenger Vehicle at 1900 Portland St.

The victim called to report the serial number for the stolen firearm. The Serial Number is JDZ0942. I contacted Hamilton County Communications to enter the firearm in as stolen. The NIC number is G795047599.

On 08/18/2020 at 17:34 hours, Officer Doub (79522) wrote a continuation/supplement for an MVT/Passenger Vehicle at 1900 Portland St.

Police responded to an improperly parked auto at 2115 Windsor St. Police ran TN( which came back stolen in NCIC. Dispatch confirmed the vehicle was still confirmed stolen and attempted to contact the owner. Inside the vehicle was the Smith & Wesson firearm that was also listed as stolen with the vehicle. Police had NCIC remove the vehicle and firearm as stolen. Dispatchcould not contact the owner so the vehicle was towed by Doug Yates Towing. Car161(Bruce) responded to the scene to process and attempt and get fingerprints from the vehicle. The firearm was taken to Chattanooga PD Property to be turned in for safekeeping. No further at this time.

2020 Gunbarrel Rd20-082386 8/16/2020 7:30:00PM 240 MVT/Passenger Vehicle

On 08/18/2020 at 00:22 hours, Officer Williams (63838) wrote a continuation/supplement for a MVT/Passenger Vehicle at 2020 Gunbarrel Rd. Police were notified of a suspicious vehicle (TN ) with a dog inside at above location. Upon arrival police found that the vehicle had been reported stolen a day earlier at the same location. Police concluded that the vehicle was never stolen, and that the owner had forgot where she parked, leading her to believe it was stolen. Owner was transported by police to above location, and took control over the vehicle. The vehicle was taken out of NCIC (NIC #(V582222762) as stolen. No further to report.

On 08/16/2020 at 20:22 hours, I Officer Wilcox #1036 responded to a disorder at 3225 Wheeler Ave. Upon arrival, I was met by William Mayes who stated that he got into an argument with a male that turned around in a neighbors driveway. The vehicle then proceeded to back up the street into a driveway. Mr. Mayes stated he owned the property and told the male that he needed to exit the property. The male left a short amount of time later in a vehicle displaying TN tag . The above address had been added to the watch list for two weeks.

On 08/16/2020 at 20:51 hours, Officer N. Gurnsey (79875) was dispatched to a Disorder at the Harry's gas station, 7018 Shallowford Rd. The caller, the cashier on duty, stated a black male was walking in and out of the store and that he made her uncomfortable. She wished him removed from the property.Upon arrival Police made contact with David Bonner. Mr. Bonner was sitting on the curb next to the West side door of the convenience store. Police informed Mr. Bonner that the parties responsible for the property wished for him to leave the premises. While speaking with Mr. Bonner, he frequently referenced "Hightail, high tech, surveillance" that "they" had been performing on him. Additionally he explained that he is currently homeless and feels the need to warn those watching him when he needs to relieve himself.Ashish Chaudhari, manager of the store, arrived on scene and explained that Mr. Bonner is not welcome back on their property. Police explained this to Mr. Bonner, who left the property without incident heading West on Shallowford Rd.

Vehicle was located at 1020 W. 37th Street and suspects fled on foot. The owner came out to check out the vehicle and he stated that all the tools that were in the tool box were not there anymore. The owner did not have another key for the vehicle so the vehicle was towed by S&S towing to the owner's residence. The vehicle was taken out of NCIC as Stolen.

On 08/17/2020 at 01:49 hours, Officer Z. Tate (79893) reported a memo at 2038 S Willow St. Police were called to the above location for a disorder by an anonymous RP. They stated that a male and female were in an argument on the sidewalk. I arrived onscene and found Kenya Russell who matched the description of the female given by the RP. Ms. Russell stated that a male party approached her and asked if she wanted to hang out. Ms. Russell told the party no and that she was going home. She then stated that the male party got angry and began yelling at her. Once police arrived on scene the male party had already left.

Ms. Regan reported that her vehicle was broken into at some point over the night. she said that her vehicle was left unlocked and when she went to get into it this morning the door was open and it appeared that someone had gone through the inside of it. She said the only thing taken from the vehicle was $5 from a wallet. She also reported that the vehicle was parked in front of her apartment. There is nothing further to report.

On 08/17/2020 at 09:40 hours, Officer Stansberry (61910) responded to a Vandalism at 8800 Ooltewah Cemetery Rd. Upon arrival at Mayse construction site, officers spoke with site manager Wayne Kemmer. Mr. Kemmer stated someone had damaged the port-a-potty by fire. Officers contacted Pitstop Portables and determined the cost of the unit was approximately $530.00. At this time there is no further information regarding leads, witnesses or suspects.

On 08/17/2020 at 11:00 hours, Officer Stansberry (61910) responded to a Theft from Motor Vehicle at 7412 Allemande Way. Complainant (Terzic Enes) stated someone had went thru his compartments in his vehicle and taken his wallet, and a set of beat headphones. Complainant stated he thought the vehicle was locked however is controlled by a sensor system. There was no forced entry into the vehicle. The facility does not have surveillance in that area and at this time there is no further information regarding leads, witnesses, or suspects.

On 08/17/2020 at 10:58 hours, Officer William Bernitt (77564) reported a memo at Commons Blvd / Hamilton Place Blvd. Police patrolling through the area noticed a suspicious vehicle parked in an abandoned parking lot with "No Trespassing" signs. Police spoke with Shaune Woolen. Mr. Woolen was asleep in his van. Mr. Woolen stated he was homeless and did not realize there was no trespassing there. Mr. Woolen had no warrants and left the scene with nothing further.

On 08/17/2020 at 11:33 hours, Officer Stansberry (61910) responded to a Shoplifting at 7000 Lee Hwy (Discount Tobacco). Upon arrival complainant (Rohit Patel) stated an unknown male and female entered the store when the male subject picked up 4 cigarillos and stated "were not paying anything." Mr. Patel stated both parties left the store in a small white pick-up truck possible

. This incident occurred on Saturday the 15th at approximately 1900 hours. At this time there is no further suspect information available.

Ms. Sims retrieved her personal belongings and left the scene with no further incidents between the two parties.

On 08/17/2020 at 12:08 hours, Officer Frazier (68396) responded to a Counterfeiting/Forgery at 490 Greenway View Dr. Upon arrival, police spoke with Melinda Buckner. Melinda is the customer service manager. Melinda stated that a white female attemptedto pay for some items with a fake 100.00 bill. The bill was clearly fake and Melinda told her that she could not return it to her. The female then exited the Walmart prior to police arrival. Police turned the counterfeit bill into CPD property.

On 08/17/2020 at 13:15 hours, Officer Frazier (68396) reported a memo at 7301 E Brainerd Rd. Upon arrival to Hamilton Pointe Apartments, police spoke with Katara Thomas. Katara stated to police that this morning, her friend Lydia Levin was inside her apartment at the above address. Katara stated that Lydia told her that a man by the name of Canyon Kaptez (wm, 507, early 20's) attempted to gain access into Lydia's apartment to gather his belongings. Katara said that Lydia did not wish to file a police report and that she is worried about her friend. Police told Katara to tell Lydia that she needs to tell Canyon to come get his belongings and not to come back. And if he comes back to contact police. Katara thanked police. No further.

On 08/17/2020 at 13:06 hours, PIT McMahan (61444) responded to a Theft from Motor Vehicle at 7400 Allemande Way at the victim's home. The victim said that he left his vehicle parked in the lot at home last night and he last saw it around 8:30 pm. The vehicle stayed there overnight and this morning around 7:15 am, he discovered that the vehicle had been entered and only a couple items were gone but he is concerned because he had some papers in there with his personal info available on them. He said there was no damage to the vehicle, so he believes it was left unlocked last night. This report was taken by phone.

On 08/17/2020 at 13:50 hours, Officer McCall (0062872) responded to a Shoplifting at 637 Mundy Street. Upon arrival, officer McCall spoke to lost prevention manager Brittany Sloan. Ms. Sloan said that a b/m and b/f came into the store and filled up shopping carts full of meat and fish. The two parties then passed all points of sale without paying for the items. Carmen stated that she had driven her Volvo Station wagon up on a curve by accident and asked police to speak with the tow truck driver and tell him where she was. Police were happy to assist and spoke with United Tow who arrived on scene to help Carmen, she was very grateful.

On 08/17/2020 at 16:03 hours, Officer Johnston (75394) responded to a Other Theft/Non-Specific at 7420 Bonny Oaks Dr. On scene I spoke with the complainant who stated that he and his wife, Kathy Gully, had been at this location fueling up their motorcycle. The complainant stated that he had not been aware that his wife had left her purse on the trunk of the motorcycle when he moved the bike away from the pumps. The store cameras were able to observe a white female driving a maroon SUV, possibly a Chevy Blazer, pull up and take the purse. Inside the purse was Mrs. Gully's glasses. The purse itself is a black Harley Davidson bag. There is no other information on the suspect at this time.

On 08/17/2020 at 16:35 hours, Officer Doub (79522) reported a memo at 2285 Wilcox Blvd.

Police responded to the above location on reports of a theft. Police spoke with Ms. Kala Moss who stated she used her unemployment card inside of the store and left it in the card reader. Ms. Moss stated that whoever was behind her in line must have taken her card and was using it. Police reviewed video evidence which showed Ms. Moss using her card, removing it from themachine and placing it back into her purse, and then exiting the store. Video evidence shows Ms. Moss returning to her car at the gas pumps and then pumping gas into her vehicle. Video evidence did not show Ms. Moss use her card at the pumps. Police determined that due to clear video evidence, no theft occurred at this location. No further to report at this time.

Ms. Lonas stated her mother, Ava McFadden, was on the phone with a woman around 1000 hours. Ms. Lonas stated the lady on the phone asked her if she lived alone and asked her if she used her credit card in Texas. Ms. Lonas stated the lady then asked her for the last four of her social. Ms. Lonas stated the caller ID showed a "Collins" with the number . Ms. Lonas would like a report at this time in case there is identity fraud.

On 08/18/2020 at 03:40 hours, I, Ofc. Gunn 351, responded to a call of a Vandalism at 4518 Hixson Pike, Apt. F2. Upon arrival, I spoke with Laquisha Greer. Ms. Greer stated that she and her boyfriend, Derek Jones, got into a verbal argument. The argument escalated to Mr. Jones storming out of the apartment. Ms. Greer then heard a loud crash. She went outside to see Mr. Jones speeding away. Ms. Greer then noticed that the rear window of her black Chrysler 200 was broken.

I told Ms. Greer to lock her door, and to call police should Mr. Jones return. In addition, I noticed that Mr. Jones has a possible warrant for Vandalism out of Sessions Court. I gave Ms. Greer a police complaint card to file the damages with her insurance company. Nothing further.

She stated that while inside she looked outside and saw a white male with a mustache wearing a white shirt get in her vehicle and drive away and headed south onRossville Blvd towards Georgia. Mr. Tucker did not have any further information regarding who the suspect was nor did he know how they got his information. He needed the report so that AT&T could investigate the account. On 08/18/2020 at 11:45 hours, Officer Brelsford (77566) responded to a Property Found at 720 Midland Pike. Police spoke with Shane Scott. Mr. Scott drives a city dump truck. Mr. Scott stated that on his route he was cleaning up trash in the area of 720 Midland Pike. While do so he stated that he had found a Taurus PT111 laying almost in the storm drain. Mr. Scott stated that he picked up the weapon and secured it and made sure it was cleared. The firearm was located in a high crime area. The firearm also showed deep scratch marks all over the weapon indicating that it had possibly been thrown from a moving vehicle. No information is available as to who may have discarded the weapon at this time. Firearm was taken to Chattanooga Property Division for NIBIN test. Nothing further.

Davidson however were unable to make contact with him at this time. 1A03 did a well being check the week prior and Mr. Davidson stressed that he was tired of being checked on and did not want people coming by his residence. At this time their are no signs of distress however Mr. Davidson is not answering his door or responding to calls. Police could detect no smells of see anything that would alarm officers that Mr. Davidson is in danger. Police then spoke with property management whom arrived on scene and assisted officers in making contact with Mr. Davidson. Mr. Davidson spoke with police and stated that he was fine and needed no assistance at this time. No further Police action.

Upon Police arrival, Police spoke with the reporting party a Santiaze Hughes who stated that he was at the Krystals on Amnicola Hwy when his vehicle was backed into by a small red convertible sedan. Mr. Hughes stated there was no damage to his vehicle but his girlfriend was with him and became involved in a disorder with the party driving the red vehicle. Mr. Hughes stated that he told his girlfriend to calm down and the driver of the red vehicle stated to them that she was drunk and proceeded to drive away. Mr. Hughes stated that he proceeded to drive his girlfriend to work but then decided that he wanted to make a report of the disorder. Police observed the vehicle and did not observe any damage. Mr. Hughes's vehicle had heavy dust and road grime in the location that Mr. Hughes stated the vehicles touched which would indicate little to no impact was made. Police spoke to Kevin Hamilton who stated that between the hours of 2000 (8/18/20) and 0627(9/19/20) and unknown party broke the rear windshield of his vehicle ( ). The value of the damaged windshield is $500. Mr. Hamilton stated that nothing in the vehicle had been taken even though multiple high value items were within plain view of the broken window.

Upon arrival complainant and store manager Harold Stockburger stated an unknown female possessed and concealed miscellaneous store items passing all points of sale without offering payment. There was an unknown white male who distracted staff at the register while the female concealed the items. The male was wearing tan shorts, blue t-shirt and the female was wearing black tank top, blue jeans. Boh subjects eft in a newer Jeep Cherokee black in color. Tag number was not readable. At this time there is no further information available regarding leads, witnesses or suspects.

On 08/22/2020 at 09:07 hours, Officer Stansberry (61910) wrote a continuation/supplement for a Shoplifting at 8164 E Brainerd Rd (Ace Hardware). Upon arrival Mr, Stockburger provided further information as to the possible suspects. Mr. Stockburger stated he did not see the male party take anything however he was in the store for approximately 1hr and 30 min, and was at the counter for approximately 30 min while his associate selected items. The male was identified as Peter Ruby and the possible name for the female is April Forester. At this time there is no further information available.

On 08/19/2020 at 15:25 hours, Officer S Burton (77331) responded to a suspicious vehicle at 2514 Amnicola Hwy. During routine patrol, Officer S Burton was pulling out of the parking lot of Circle K gas station and convenience store. Officer S Burton ran the registration (GA ) and it returned as a stolen rental vehicle out of Cleveland, TN. The driver was seen by Officer S Burtonwhile inside the store just before entering the truck. The unknown black male driver, wearing a black in color Nike logo Tshirt, blue jeans, black shoes, and a medium length afro hair style exited the store shortly after Officer S Burton. The unknown male was pumping $20 in gas at Pump #1. Officer S Burton initiated emergency equipment as the suspect was sitting in the Drivers' seat after pumping gas. The suspect then opened the Drivers' door as if he was going to run. The suspect then accelerated the vehicle at a very high rate of speed out of the parking lot. The gas pump did not appear to be damaged. The suspect drove East on Appling St to Riverside Dr. The suspect was last seen driving on Wilder St by another Officer in the area. The Officer then lost sight of the suspect vehicle. Officer S Burton was able to obtain pictures of the suspect for any possibly identification, and they are attached to the photos section of this report. Nothing further at this time.

On 08/19/2020 at 21:50 hours, Officer Michael Ortiz (83692) responded to a crash at 2103 Daisy St. Police also responded to an auto theft at 2808 Curtis St. Police spoke with Emily Blackmon at 2808 Curtis St. Ms. Blackmon stated that she and Willie Blackmon were sitting in the living room when Mr. Blackmon heard his 1989 white Chevy Silverado (GA: ). start-up on the side of the house. Mr. Blackmon went outside to see that his truck was stolen. Mr. Blackmon began checking the area looking for the truck. While police were taking the auto theft report, the stolen white truck drove past police at a high rate of speed. Police attempted to locate the vehicle but lost sight of the truck. After a continued search, police located the truck in an empty lot at 2103 Daisy St. The truck had driven into the back on the lot, ran over a piece of metal sticking out of the ground, and crashed into the fence. The truck had heavy front end damage, and also had a flat front driver's side tire. The suspects were not on the scene. Les's Wrecker towed the vehicle back to 2808 Curtis St. The keys are not with the vehicle. The vehicle was not entered into NCIC. Nothing further at this time.

The complainant is the Project Superintendent for P&C Construction (2500 E 18th St / 1037 W Main St Chattanooga, Tn 37402) and he is in charge of the construction site there. He said that the building was last seen sometime after 5 pm last night and around 6:45 am this morning, it was discovered that 2 windows were broken out on the West side of the gymn. He said he guesses around $1000 total because both the frames and windows were damaged. He said that a cinder block had been used to break one of the windows. This report was taken by phone.

Owner was notified by phone. He was out of the town and was unable to retrieve the vehicle. The vehicle was removed from the NCIC system. Inside the vehicle, Police found a brown plastic box with 18 Hornady live ammo Cal. 38, and 13 live ammo winchester Cal 38 and a pocket knife. The items found in the vehicle were turned in to Chattanooga property division as found property and submitted under complainant # 20-84655. The vehicle was towed by Ford Garage to 2712 Benton Avenue.

Mr. Leeth stated that there were three people on small motorcycles/sport bikes that were driving on his golf course and harassing the people utilizing his course. Mr. Leeth stated that this has happened multiple times and that he just wants it to stop. I was not able to find the motorcyclists and there was no way to identify them. I told him to call back in if they came back and we would try to get them. Nothing further.

Ms. Nichols did not have a full list of stolen items at the time and will call back in if she able to figure out what else was taken. Ms. Nichols also stated the suspect left through the back door, near the loading station, and also believes the suspect was driving a Red Ford Ranger, but has no tag information on the vehicle. I called the complainant, Chris Newby, who stated that he was driving at the last round about before he got onto Highway 153 from N Access Rd whenever the lady in the car next to him drove by him with her camera out, recording him, and doing all kinds of gestures. Mr. Newby just wanted to make a report in case she had hit his trailer whenever her lane ended and she had to get behind him at the round about. On 08/20/2020 at 18:00 hours, Officer J. Cuba (79521) responded to a Shoplifting at 1905 Gunbarrel Rd. Upon arrival, police made contact with the business employee, Ms. April Wilborn. Ms. Wilborn stated that a male and female party were outside in the parking lot asking customers for money. Then she observed both parties come inside the business and started walking around. The female party started talking to MS. Wilborn as a distraction while the male party walked around and concealed merchandise inside his pockets. The male party then walked out of the business, crossing all points of sale with no intention of paying for the merchandise. Ms. Wilborn walked outside and asked the male party if he was going to pay for the merchandise. The male and female party got inside a white Ford F150 and drove off the scene. Police have no more suspect information at this time. Ms. Wilborn does not know how much merchandise the male party walked out with at this time. No further.

On 08/20/2020 at 18:55 hours, Officer Nye, Becca (84857) responded to a disorder at 1124 Clermont Dr. Upon arriving, I spoke with Carrie Crawford who stated that her boyfriend, Michael Williams, was drunk and she was tired of being called names, being cussed at, and the arguing. Ms. Crawford stated that she wanted him to leave. Mr. Williams had residency there at the home so I could not ask him to leave. Mr. Williams stated that he was looking for somewhere else to live and getting boxes to move. Mr. Williams stated he would try to leave for the night but if he could not find somewhere to stay he would have to stay, he would not cause any more issues. Both parties said they would not cause any more issues. Nothing further at this time.

On 08/20/2020 at 19:59 hours, I Officer Wilcox #1036 responded to a theft from motor vehicle at 2718 Waterhaven Dr. While on scene of a theft from motor vehicle at 2734 Waterhaven Dr.a neighbor stated his vehicle was broken into on 8/20/2020 at approx. 0230hrs. Mr. Wilson stated his wife did not lock her doors last night and when she got into it this morning she noticed her vehicle was gone through. He stated there was thirty dollars that was taken from her purse and an I-Phone charger was taken. Mr. Wilson did not have video of the incident but is believed to be the same suspects from 2734 Waterhaven Dr. (20-083967). No further.

On 08/20/2020 at 21:22 hours, Officer N. Shelor (78349) responded to a Shoplifting at 2220 Hamilton Place Blvd. Upon arrival, I spoke with Ms. Michelle Young, the loss prevention manager at Academy Sports; she stated that there was a female that walked into the store and tried on a pair of shoes. When she did she walked around the store and continued shopping. She picked up a bag and began placing items in the bag. As she was getting lose to the exit the manager called the police. She said at this time the female then took off the shoes and dropped the bag near the exit. She then ran out of the store and got into a silver Nissan Versa unknown tag. The vehicle headed towards Gunbarrel Rd with another male driver. Ms. Young was able to describe both parties. The female was around 25 years of age, she had dyed red hair skinny and had tattoos on her arms. She also had bruises in the middle of her arm. She said that the male was wearing all black with red hair and a goatee. He appeared to be an older gentleman. Inside the bag, that the female dropped, was $212 worth of merchandise to include the tennis shoes she was wearing that the female was attempting to walk out of the store with. After this call, police received another call involving the same description of suspects and I responded to the scene. After looking at both of them and seeing the tattoo's and bruises, I was able to confirm that these parties were the same as. I gathered both of their identifications and attempted to contact the manager at Academy. I was unable to reach her and will attempt to contact her at a later date to see if she is wanting to press charges for Shoplifting. No further at this time.

On 08/20/2020 at approximately 23:10 hours, officers responded to a glass break at 2022 Broad St. When officers arrived on scene they saw that one of the windows at the front of the business had been shattered. The business was searched to determine if anyone had entered the building, but officers did not locate anyone. After searching the building a responsible party was called. Elah Henry, acting manager, came to the scene to look at the extent of the damage so that she could report it to her manager. Dueto the window being completely shattered and exposing the business, with Ms. Henry's permission, officers moved one of the UHaul trucks in front of the window so as to provide some sort of security until it can be properly boarded up. The business will also be put on the watch list for the next week.

Vehicle owner was notified via dispatch at approximately 0300hrs. Owner was unable to respond to the scene to recover the vehicle in question. He was still reviewing the footage to see if he could see a tag number or a visual of the suspect. The unknown suspect stole a Glock 45, 9mm gun, S/N:BKDM057. The firearm has been placed into NCIC (NIC #G055051705). At this time there are no leads, witnesses, or suspect information.

Mr. Edmiston was attempting to move out of an apartment at this address but Ladd was refusing to allow Edmiston access to his property. According to Edmiston, Ladd had given him permission to store property in a garage. Now according to Ladd, he did not have the authority to open the garage for Edmiston to take his property. Ladd said that authority belonged to the Estate. Ladd was refusing to provide a phone number for who Edmiston could call to get his property. I eventually spoke with Ladd's father, Col. Ed Ladd, regarding the matter. Mr. Ed Ladd contacted his son James and the garage doors were opened. Mr. Edmiston was able to collect his property and leave the scene.

I spoke with Ms. Hines by telephone. She says that sometime in the morning hours between 0200 and 0300, an unknown party pried down the right side rear window of her 2008 BMW to gain entry. She says that the window will not come up now. She says that the unknown also broke off the inside rear view mirror. Ms. Hines stated, she does not know the cost to repair the vehicle and has not yet called her insurance company.

Ms. Hines says several things were stolen from her vehicle. Those items are shown in the property section of this report.

On 08/21/2020 at 19:41 hours, Officer N. Shelor (78349) reported a memo at 2350 Shallowford Village Dr. Police were notified about an email that was sent to a judge in FL from Ms. Nadine Baker. The email was stating that she had been kidnapped from FL and she was being held against her will. Police were informed that she may be staying at that the Days Inn. Police went to the hoteand attempted to make contact with her and she was not on scene. An employee stated that she was last seen walking to the Cracker Barrel in a blue top and bottom night gown type of outfit. Police walked to the restaurant and found Ms. Baker outside. After speaking with her and gathering all the information she said that she was not in any kind of harm and the alleged suspect hadleft her with some money a day or two ago. Police made contact with the investigator in FL with the Brevard Co Sheriff Office and he contacted Ms. Baker about the email she had sent to a judge in their jurisdiction. Ms. Baker stated that she was not kidnapped and not held against her will. There did not seem to be any kind of threat towards Ms. Baker. No further.

I then called for a responsible. Mr. Jason Pooler the owner of the business arrived on scene. He stated that they just opened up the business. They see PTSD patience and store ketamine in the facility. He stated that he is sure someone was checking the security system to see if they couldget into the building. Mr. Pooler tapped up a card board box on the window. I stated to Mr. Pooler that we would keep an eye on thebuilding throughout the night. He was given a complainant card for insurance purposes. Ms. Watkins stated she was at Alan Golds and got separated from friends she was with when the bar closed. Ms. Watkins stated she took a ride from 2 unknown males and an unknown female and was eventually dropped off in the area of the above address. Ms. Watkins stated her phone was dead and just needed to get home. Ms. Watkins had no known phone numbers of anyone she could call for a ride. Officer Baldwin, a female CPD officer arrived on scene and transported Ms. Watkins to her residence, where she was able to get inside without incident.

Police spoke to William Faulk who stated that while he was in the Tiger Mart on Jenkins Rd buying beer an unknown individual (at approximately 01:30) stole from his unlocked vehicle a Samsung Galaxy S7 (valued at $200) and a prescription pill bottle containing 15 20mg Adderal (valued at $50) from his vehicles glove box.

Mr. Faulk stated that this unknown individual replaced the items stolen from his glove box with a can of Grizzly Wintergreen chewing tobacco. Mr. Faulk stated that the prescription for Adderal was in his name. Nothing further at this time.

On 08/22/2020 at 02:58 hours, Officer Wyatt, Kayla (77587) reported a memo at 1100 Old Pineville Rd. Police were flagged down by Mr. Aaron Stansell walking in the middle of the road. Mr. Stansell stated to Police he didnt know where he was and needed help. He stated he had been dropped off in the area by friends who were supposed to take him home because he had been drinking. Mr. Stansell stated that he was on the phone with a friend to come get him but didnt know where he was to give them directions because he had recently moved to the area. Police spoke with the friend on his cell phone and gave her directions to ourlocation. Mr. Stansell was picked up by his friend and taken home safely. No further Police action taken.

On 08/22/2020 at 04:08 hours, Officer Gross (84850) reported an open door at 6870 Spence Ln. Police spoke to Jessica Castaneda who lived on the second floor in room 207. Ms. Castaneda stated that she had locked her balcony door before leaving and when she returned home the door was open. Police viewed the second story balcony door was slightly ajar. With consent of the apartment tenant (Ms. Castaneda) police thoroughly searched the apartment. The apartment was unoccupied with no visible signs of forced entry.

Police spoke again to Ms. Castaneda who stated that she was late taking her prescribed anxiety medication and was fearful that her ex boyfriend (Richard McDonald) was having an unknown party follow Ms. Castaneda. Ms. Castaneda stated that she has not seen anyone follow her but feels like she constantly being followed.

Ms. Castaneda searched her apartment and stated that nothing was out of place, police showed Ms. Castaneda the door lock for the balcony had been left improperly locked. The deadbolt was slightly purtuding from the strike plate and showed no signs of marring or damage.

On 08/22/2020 at 07:25 hours, Officer J.Hamilton (66984) responded to a Theft of Vehicle Parts/Accessories at 2273 Gunbarrel Rd. I spoke with complainant/victim Jason Fields over the phone. Mr. Fields needed to report that his license plate was stolen from his vehicle while he was at work yesterday at Office Depot. The stolen license plate is TN# . After speaking with Mr. Fields I spoke with NCIC and the plate was entered as stolen under NIC# P687232385. At the time of this report there is no suspect information. There is nothing further to report.

Both subjects did remove the trash and left propoerty without further incident.

On 08/22/2020 at 12:05 hours I, Officer King (78347), responded to a See Complainant at 2617 N Orchard Knob Ave. Upon arrival, I spoke to the complainant, Ms. Lanita Binford. Ms. Binford stated that her ex-boyfriend, Mr/ Lamichael Tatum, has been coming to her house uninvited. She stated that she lets him in but that she does not want to come back anymore. Mr. Tatum was not on the scene when I arrived on the scene. I told Ms. Binford that if she does not want him to come there that she needs to tell him that he is not allowed on her property. I told her if he continues to come after she tells him to stop to call Police and we would deal with it from there. No further Police action was taken.

On 08/22/2020 at 12:52 hours, Officer Russ (62879) reported a memo at 3335 Boydston Rd. Upon arriving on the scene, police located a Kris Oliver in the cemetery standing around. Police asked Mr. Oliver if he had a knife and he stated yes. Police had him throw the knife to the ground and back away. Police retrieved the knife and asked Mr. Oliver why he was at the cemetery. He stated that he likes to look for military people that are buried there and pay them respect. While talking with Mr. Oliver, his sister Kerry Daniel came down and talked to police. Ms. Daniel stated that her brother has some issues and that coming to the cemetery calms him down. When police arrived they noticed no damage to any property and Mr. Oliver stated that he was just paying his respects. Police turned the knife over to the sister and let them go. Police talked to the complainant a Mr. Douglas Baldwin who stated that he just wanted Mr. Oliver checked out because he thought he was going to harm himself with the knife. Mr. Baldwin did not realize that Mr. Oliver’s sister was there.

On 08/22/2020 at 14:39 hours, Officer Russ (62879) responded to a Purse-Snatching at 3550 Cummings Hwy. Upon arriving on the scene, police were met by a Ms. Juana Lucas who stated that an unknown white male (light blue shirt, blue jeans, black ball cap, and mask) grabbed a backpack worth 20.00 that contained her TN ID and 80.00 in cash. The male was seen leaving with an unknown white female (gray shirt, blue jeans, blonde hair, and mask. Both suspects got into a maroon colored Nissan Altima (unknown tag) and left the scene. The video from the store shows them leaving the store but does not show the backpack being snatched.

On 08/22/2020 at 13:49 hours, Officer Silveira (66499) reported a memo at 2706 Grove St. While recovering a stolen vehicle in the area, I observed a dark in color GMC Yukon, bearing TN tag traveling suspiciously in the area. The vehicle was occupied four times. All the occupants were Caucasians and they appeared to be part of a motorcycle gang because they were dressed like bikers. I spoke with the driver briefly, because he appeared to be lost. He said that were looking for a house next to Campbell Street, but did not give many details about the residence. When the vehicle left, in the back glass of the SUV I observed two stickers, VFFV and diablo life. Nothing further. The vehicle is registered to William Peppers from 312 Independence Road, Lexington, TN.

The ammo was transported to the Chattanooga property division and submitted as found property.

On 08/22/2020 at 15:03 hours, Officer T. PLUNKETT (079536) responded to a Damaged Property Accidental at 727 E 11th St.Upon arrival, police spoke with a staff member of the community kitchen identified as Mr. Niswonger. He stated that Calvin Orr climbed over the fence at the Community Kitchen to retrieve his bag, when he did so he broke a portion of the fence. Orr stated that someone threw his belongings inside the fence and he was just retrieving his belongings. Orr stated that it was not intentional and that he was very sorry. Niswonger stated that he would let management view the footage on Monday and take it from there. Nothing further at this time.

On 08/22/2020 at 16:00 hours, Officer C. Darling reported a memo at 490 Greenway View Dr. Kiara Butler called and stated that she was involved in a crash at this location in the parking lot. Kiara Butler had valid insurance, driver's license, and registration. Melvin Warthern was the other involved party and he had valid insurance, driver's license, and registration. Kiara Butler stated that she was backing from a parking spot and she was almost fully out when she was struck by Melvin Warthern's vehicle on the passenger side near rear. Melvin Warthern stated that he had just started backing from his parking spot when he struck Kiara Butler's vehicle. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were drivable. Both parties completed paperwork to be filed with the state for a private property report. No further

On 08/22/2020 at 16:11 hours, Officer Christopher Liberto (79560) responded to a Damaged Property Accidental at 18100 Interstate 24 Eb. Upon arrival, Police and Fire observed a Velox Semi Truck on fire from the front end of the vehicle. The vehicle was unoccupied. I spoke with the driver, Mr. Felix Castro who denied EMS. Mr. Castro stated that he was driving and noticed flames coming from his engine compartment. Mr. Castro pulled over to the side of the interstate safely. Mr. Castro stated he got out without injury but left a lot of personal items in the vehicle due to how fast the vehicle was on fire. The fire department was ableto extinguish the fire without further incident. The value of the damage is not known at this time. Please ensure that Mr. Castro's property is annotated in the insurance report properly. Nothing further at this time.

On 08/22/2020 at 17:13 hours, Officer J. Cuba (79521) responded to a Shoplifting at the Best Buy located at 2288 Gunbarrel Rd. Upon arrival, police made contact with the business manager, Mr. Chris Hunt. Mr. Hunt stated that at 1440. A male party that was inside the business, grabbed a computer worth $1,149, and proceeded on walking out of the business, crossing all points of sale with no intention of paying for the merchandise. Mr. Hunt tried to stop the male party from leaving the business, but the male party walked out anyways. Police have no more suspect information at this time. No further.

On 08/22/2020 at 20:20 hours, Officer D. Williams (84866) responded to a Fire at 3905 Clio Ave. Upon arrival, a shed behind this address was fully engulfed in flames. Engine 9 responded to the scene and was able to extinguish the fire at 20:38 hours without further damage to surrounding properties. The property owner, Ms. Sherry Cate, reported that the fully burned shed had no real value to her, but estimated the damages to be approximately 800 dollars. No injuries were reported with this incident. Nothing further to report at this time.

4542 Hwy 5820-084794 8/22/2020 8:51:00PM 23C Shoplifting

On 08/22/2020 at 21:09 hours, Officer N. Shelor (78349) responded to a Shoplifting at 4542 Hwy 58. I contacted Walgreens manager, Ms. Hannah Coleman; she stated that there were 2 females that shoplift from the store regularly. She said that they entered the store, they walked around the store with a cart. When they got to the beer aisle they placed multiple cartons of beer in 2 carts and pushed them out of the door. They then got into a vehicle and left the scene. Ms. Coleman stated that she has seen these females several times and they are both heavy set. One of them had on a tie dye shirt on and the other had a burgundy headwrap on. She said that police could review the footage at a later time to get a better description of the females. Ms. Coleman statedthat they walked out with about $150 worth of beer. I will attempt to review the video footage of the incident at a later time and get more information. No further at this time.

Durham (77571) responded to a Vandalism at 728 Market St. On this date Police observed damage to a dual pane window to Strayer University, at the above address. Police had Dispatch attempt to locate a responsible party for the business but to no avail. At this time there is no suspect information for the damage of the window. Police did observe two near by businesses, Dollar General and Tennessee Valley Federal credit union, both having cameras which might have footage of the incident. Nothing further at this time.

On 08/22/2020 at 23:40 hours, Officer J. Cannon (78366) responded to a Shoplifting at 3743 Cummings Hwy, Circle K. Once on scene I spoke to Ms. Janice Potts the store clerk who stated a white male came into the store and stole some items. Ms. Potts showed me the video footage and I observed a white male face covered enter the store grab a case of Bud Light beer, and two microwave burritos. Then the male proceeded to act as if he was assisting someone as they selected donuts by holding the door ofthe donut case. As the lady with the donuts approached the register the white walked out the door without paying. Police canvased the area but was unable to locate the party carrying beer.

The victim said that her son left her vehicle parked at school over the weekend after a football game from last Friday night around 6 pm to around 7:15 am this morning when he got back to school. It was then that he discovered that the vehicle's tag was gone and she said it was stolen at some point over the weekend. She said that she believes that there are cameras there but she hasn't spoken to anyone at the school about it yet. This report was taken by phone. The victim said he leave his bike locked up on a bike rack there outside the Apt and he last saw it about 1 pm last Saturday. Around 9:30 am this morning, he discovered that the rear tire/wheel and gears had been stolen off the bike. He said he checked with the staff there and they are going to look at the cameras but he's not sure if anything was caught on video at this time. This report was taken by phone.

I spoke with Ms. Christine Bentley, complainant, who stated someone had called her on Saturday 08/22/2020 and stated she would die within 7 days. Ms. Christine Bentley doesn't know who had made the call and it has been an increasing issue with unwanted phone calls. Ms. Christine Bentley suspects her sister, Jameca Bentley, may be behind the phone calls, but has no proof. Ms. Christine Bentley stated she is considering changing her phone number. No further police action can be taken at this time.
