YOGA & PILATES DESCRIPTIONS

Advanced Pilates • AdvancedThis class offers a fun and challenging full body workout. You will build length and strength through Pilates exercises both on the mat and at the barre.

Aerial Yoga • Multi-levelAerial Yoga integrates an hammock with a yoga flow class, using it as a prop to support standing and balancing poses. Develop core strength and relax into backbends with more ease.

Ashtanga • Level 2 & 3This dynamic, challenging practice follows the method established by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. Prepare to sweat as you move through a set sequence.The system is great to build core strength, toning the body, while promoting an inner sense of peace. Prior yoga experience is highly recommended.

Awakenings • Level 1Begin your day with a gentle practice rooted in prana, breath, the life force. These class will help you to mindfully ease into your day and awaken body-awareness. Beginners welcome.

Barre Fusion • Level 2This class offers an intense workout, increases cardiovascular strength while helping you to tone, sculpt, and lengthen muscles. Barre classes mix elements of mat and barre Pilates. The moves are choreographed to motivating music.

Daybreak • Multi-levelThis class is designed to warm up and energize the body, to increase mobility, flexibility, to build core strength. Leave class ready to enter the rest of your day with vitality and equanimity.

Foundations • Level 1Learn how to practice yoga safely and skillful-ly. A class is good for beginners as well as those who want to focus on details of alignment and refinement in their practices.

Gentle Practice • Level 1Gentle Yoga takes a calming approach to Hatha yoga postures, through warm-ups, stretching, and some restorative poses. Great for beginners, for people managing health conditions, recovering from injuries or those who want to unwind.

HartYoga • Multi-LevelHartYoga combines several styles of Yoga including kundalini, vinyasa, chakra and restorative. This gentle practice is open to all levels from novice to expert. HartYoga focuses on meditation, breath work, chanting and poses to open the heart and balance the chakra energy centers.

Hatha Yoga • Multi-LevelClasses focus on uniting body, breath and mind. The sequence differs from class to class, but always follow a progression that moves from warm up to complex. This class helps build bal-ance, flexibility and strength.

Hot Yoga • AdvancedThis class involves a dynamic and challenging practice in a room heated to about 90 degrees.

Please bring your own mat, water bottle and towel. Prior yoga experience is highly recommended.

Kids Yoga • Children age 2 to 10This class helps children develop a calm fo-cused mind, and healthy bodies. It includes play-ful movement and partner activity. Parents are invited to join.

Kundalini Yoga • Multi-levelKundalini yoga, also called the yoga of awareness, focuses on strengthening and tuning the nervous and glandular system as well as developing and expanding lung capacity and purifying the blood. It activates energy centers throughout the body, combining breath, mudra, eye-focus, meditation, mantra and asana / movement to balance and uplift the mind, body and spirit. Appropriate for be-ginners and all levels.

Mat Pilates • Multi-levelThis class incorporates the Pilates exercises that target the core, lengthe and strengthen the abs, glutes, legs, arms, back, for a total body workout.

Open Flow • AdvancedA challenging and energizing practice that focuses on building strength and concentration as you flow through powerful, flowing sequences. yoga experience is highly recommended.

Power Flow • AdvancedStudents will focus on linking conscious breath with a mindful flow of yoga postures. Students awaken their strength, energy, and flexibility in a fun atmosphere. Prior yoga experience is highly recommended.

Restorative Yoga • Multi-levelThis class targets the hips, pelvis and lower spine. It includes supported postures using props to promote deep relaxation, and rejuvenate the nervous system. Postures are held for 3 to 5 min-utes at a time. Beginners welcome.

Simply Sunday • Multi-levelOur Yoga teachers rotate each week to intro-duce you to their own style of yoga in a gentle and peaceful way. Get to know all our teachers by attending this class. Modifications will be made and options given for those with less experience in practicing yoga.

Stretch 101 • Multi-levelThis class offers hip, hamstring and low back stretches. It helps to increase mobility and flexi-bility. Poses are deliberate, unhurried, and are not physically demanding. Great for beginners, for people managing health conditions, recovering from injuries or those who want to unwind.

Yin Yoga • Multi-levelThis slower style of yoga targets the connective tissues in the body to create more joint mobility, muscle, fascia flexibility and better circulation. This class consists of mostly floor postures, each held for 3 to 5 minutes. Beginners welcome.
