(Race Discrimination and Retaliation in Private Employment)
On motion of plaintiff, WILSON CLARK, on suggesting to the court that additional time is
needed to prepare initial pleadings and to gather additional data related to fully and
adequately represent himself in this matter and thus plaintiff desires an extension of
time of 30 days in which to plead.

Introduction
Plaintiff, Wilson Clarke proceeding Pro Se, brings this action pursuant to Title VII of the Civil
Rights Act of 1964, as amended, 42 U.S.C. § 2000 et al. the Plaintiff alleges MARRERO
ESTELLE VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANY NUMBER 1 discriminated against him based on the
color of his skin. They made racially insensitive comments. After asking his supervisors to
refrain from making racially insensitive comments. They continued and the comments became
worse and the work environment became hostile and the Plaintiff was unable to continue
employment with the company.
Jurisdiction
2. This Court has jurisdiction over the subject matter of this civil action pursuant to Title
VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 U.S.C. §2000c-16.
Venue
3. Venue is proper in this judicial district under 42 U.S .C. Section 2000e-5(f)(3) and 5
U.S.C. §7703(b)(2). As MARRERO ESTELLE VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANY NUMBER
1 employed the Plaintiff with its principal place of business in Marrero, Louisiana located
within the geographical and judicial jurisdiction of the Eastern District of New Orleans.
Marrero is also where the racial discrimination described in this complaint took place.
Parties
4. Plaintiff, Wilson Clarke, is a citizen of the United States and a resident of the State of
Louisiana. At all times relevant to this suit, until his termination from MARRERO
ESTELLE VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANY NUMBER 1.
5. MARRERO ESTELLE VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANY NUMBER 1 the organization is
being sued based on the vicarious liability of its employees that committed racial
discrimination against the Plaintiff.

6. MARRERO ESTELLE VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANY NUMBER 1 is the proper agent
for service.

Count One
(Racial Discrimination in Violation of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 42 USC 2000e. Et seq.)
15.The foregoing paragraphs are realleged and incorporated by reference herein.
16.The Defendants conduct as alleged herein constitutes discrimination based on race
in violation of Title VII. The stated reasons for the Defendant's conduct were not the true
reasons, but instead were pretext to hide the Defendant's discriminatory animus.
Count Two
(Reprisal for engaging in Protected Activities)
17.The foregoing paragraphs are realleged and incorporated by reference herein.
18.The Defendanfs conduct as alleged above constitutes retaliation against the Plaintiff
because he engaged in activities protected by Title VII. The stated reasons for the
Defendanfsconduct were not the true reasons, but instead were pretext to hide the
Defendants' retaliatory onimus.
Count 3
(Hostile and Abusive Working Environment}
19.The foregoing paragraphs are realleged and incorporated by reference herein.
The Defendant's conduct as alleged above constitutes hostile and abusive working
environment in violation of Title VII. The stated reasons for the Defendant's conduct

were not the true reasons, but instead were pretext to hide the Defendants
discriminatory animus.
Prayer for Relief
Wherefore, the Plaintiff request that the court award him:
(a)Compensation retroactive to his last date of employment with MARRERO ESTELLE
VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANY NUMBER 1. The sum of 1,000, 000 in compensatory
damages suffered because of the discrimination and retaliation.
(b)Based on the Plaintiffs background it has been difficult for the him to find
employment with the level of compensation and benefits that he was receiving.
(c) Costs and reasonable attorneys fees incurred with this lawsuit with interest theron;
and other damages and further relief as deemed just.
JURY DEMAND
The Plaintiff requests trial by jury.
