August 19 - 31, 2012 All of us live in a world where stress is the norm, not the exception. Most of the time we manage the pressures of life without much notice. It is when additional and usually unexpected problems arise that our stress can lead to distress. Everyone, saved or lost, is subject to such periods in life. What we must remember is that word “period.” Everything on earth, the good, bad, or normal is temporary. I came across this quote as I have been dealing with the complex issues that are facing my family and me. It reminded me of the need for always looking up instead of around and down. “Circumstances do not upset us; we upset ourselves by believing that our circumstances can upset us.” Nothing quiets the soul like meditation on God’s promises. Add that to the love of family and friends, cards, letters, emails, gifts, food, voice and text messages, and the battle is still real, but the peace of God prevails. May the Lord bless you richly this week. Thank you for your love and support.
