MISSION MILESTONES
This year Marcie and Ellery Gardner, Riley Windell, Ann and Bryan Reeves, Jamie Householter, and Don Wilton will be our missionaries. They leave on Wednesday, 5/22/19 and return on Sunday, 6/2/19. This will be the first trip to Nicaragua for Marcie, Jamie and Don.
They are taking diapers and other supplies, along with Spanish Bibles for the Mission Mobile Library as the result of the church’s book drive.
If you have gifts for the sponsored children in the Kingdom Kids program, please have them to church NO LATER THAN SUNDAY, MAY 19TH in backpacks or similar packaging and labeled with the child’s name. These gifts need to be small because of the 50 lb. weight restriction and the size of the suitcases. We would need to have these in time to pack the suitcases. Donations to help pay for the suitcase shipping costs are most welcome! Checks payable to the church or cash may be given to Meta Kennedy.

Thanks, Brian Foster
Here are 10 specific ways you can pray today for members of our persecuted family around the world:
1. Pray they will sense God’s presence (Heb. 13:5)
2. Pray they will know we are praying for them (2 Tim. 1:3)
3. Pray they will experience God’s comfort (2 Thes.2:16-17)
4. Pray they will see God open doors for evangelism
(Col. 4:3)
5. Pray they will boldly share the gospel (Acts 4:29)
6. Pray they will mature in their faith (Col. 1:28-29)
7. Pray they will be granted wisdom in covert ministry work
(Acts 9:23-25)
8. Pray they will remain joyful amid suffering (Acts 5:41)
9. Pray they will be able to forgive and love their persecutors
(Matt 5:44)
10. Pray they will be deeply rooted in God’s Word
(2 Tim. 3:16-17)
Let’s make time to pray specifically for the persecuted church. May their persecution be a blessing to the church and bring glory to God!

Dear Church Family,
It was my privilege to be part of the Greater Peoria Honor Flight on April 30th. This trip, with 74 other veterans and their guardians to visit our nation’s capitol, Arlington Cemetery, and all the war memorials was a very enjoyable and satisfying experience, that I would recommend to others in a heartbeat. An unexpected and humbling part of the return trip was "mail-call". I was very moved and busy until landing, opening over 40 thank-you letters and notes from Peoria
area well-wishers with a large portion being from you, my Church family. I sincerely thank you for the letters, prayers for a safe trip, and for those of you who stayed up late to be part of the fantastic crowd at the airport welcoming us home. In Christian love, Gene Muehring

PANTRY NEWS
Tuesday, May 14th is our next service date. Please help out, if you possibly can. This is a loving act of service! We were a little short-handed in April. We unload the truck at 9:30 — 11 AM.
Also, due to Mother’s Day being the Sunday before pantry, we will be setting up on Monday, May 13th at 6 PM.
If each person (110 people) gave $1.55 more each week, we would have an additional $ 8,866 in 1 year; that is $ 4,066 more than 1 week’s budget and $ 33 more than our current shortfall! $1.55 per week for 52 weeks totals $ 80.60. Let us give lovingly of our first fruits!
