INTRODUCTION Welcome, girlfriend! Did you realize that nonverbal communication counts for at least 50% of communication? That means you need to ask yourself if your body language is telling the world that you're a male or a female.

If you're not sure, then chances are that you're communicating as a MAN. Your body language communicates through:

1. Posture and stance 2. Gestures 3. Facial expressions 4. Eye contact

There are major differences between masculine and feminine body language. In this report, I'm going to show you how to fine tune your “body talk” so you can give off the signals of being a sexy, confident woman.

POSTURE AND STANCE The 3 biggest differences between the way men and women hold their bodies are:

1. Open vs. closed 2. Straight vs. curved 3. Weight-forward vs. weight-neutral

OPEN VS. CLOSED

The #1 body language rule you need to remember is that women take up less space than men. Studies show that open body positions are associated with a display of power. Men “display” their power by sitting and standing with their legs apart and their elbows out.

To appear more feminine, keep your legs together and your limbs tucked into your body. This might sound like obvious advice, but it is easy to slip into masculine body positions when you aren’t consciously aware of what you are doing. Besides making you look more passive and feminine, a closed stance also makes you appear physically smaller.

STRAIGHT VS. CURVED

Sexy women are all about curves, including the way they hold their bodies. Women tend make s-shaped curves when they sit or stand. Men's bodies are more linear. They sit and stand in angles, rather than curves. Practice keeping your weight on one side when you sit or stand. This causes the hip on the supporting side to jut out, giving your body an s-shaped curve. Aside from being a more feminine way to hold your body, the s-curve also makes your body look more voluptuous by emphasizing your curves.

WEIGHT-FORWARD VS. WEIGHT-NEUTRAL

Men are always giving off subtle displays of power. Another way they tend to display power is by leaning forward – as if they are poised for action. Women tend to keep their weight neutrally balanced and hold their bodies in more receptive positions. If you are trying to correct very masculine body language, you can even try leaning back a bit. You never want to slouch, but instead, imagine you are a queen leaning back into her throne. Feels good, doesn’t it?

DO’S AND DON’TS Now that you know the 3 major differences between masculine and feminine body positions, let's talk about specific do's and don'ts for each part of the body. DO’S AND DONT'S – STANDING POSTURE

DON'T slouch or stand with poor posture. Most of us have poor posture due to sitting in front of the computer all day.

DO stand with beautiful, feminine posture: Chest lifted and

tummy in.

DON'T lean forward with your shoulders or head. DO keep your weight balanced over your heels.

LEGS AND FEET

DON'T stand with your legs apart. DO keep your knees together at all times. DO keep your weight on one foot only. This causes the hip on the

supporting side of your body to jut out, giving you that sexy s-curve.

DON'T stand with pigeon toes. A lot of women (including celebrities) do this, but it looks awkward.

DO position your feet in a “clock pose”. Place the heel of one foot

into the crook of the opposite foot. Imagine you are standing on a clock and turn both feet out slightly so they are pointing at 11:00 and 2:00.

ARMS AND HANDS

DON'T cross your arms or stuff your hands in your pockets. These positions give you a closed off, defensive look.

DON'T an over the top hands-on-the-hips supermodel pose.

Normal women don't stand like this unless they're on the catwalk.

DO find an attractive position for your arms. Try:

Placing one hand on your waist with the other arm relaxed beside you.

Clasping your hands in front of you.

Resting your elbow on the opposite hand.

Holding a purse.

HEAD

DON'T hang your head. DO keep your chin up, parallel to the floor. DON'T lead with your head. DO keep your earlobes over your shoulders.

DO'S AND DON'TS – SITTING POSTURE

DON'T slouch in your seat or lean forward too much. DO sit with good posture with your weight evenly balanced.

LEGS AND FEET

DON'T spread your legs. I know this is common sense, but it's all too easy to slip into old habits – especially when you are relaxing.

DO cross your legs at the feet or ankle. A lady ALWAYS keeps her

knees together. DO try sitting with your weight on one hip to create a feminine s-

shaped curve.

DON'T stick your feet out if you've got long legs. You might trip somebody.

DO keep your feet tucked under you.

ARMS AND HANDS

DON'T cross your arms. DO find a graceful position for your arms. Try:

Clasping your hands in your lap.

Resting your elbow on the opposite hand.

DON'T stick your elbows out. DO keep your elbows tucked into your body at all times.

HEAD

DO tilt your head to one side slightly. (Don't overdo it!) A slight head tilt gives you a demure look.

GESTURES Gestures are a big part of body language. A basic rule of thumb is that women are more expressive with their gestures. They tend to use their hands a lot when they talk. DO'S AND DONT'S – GESTURES

DON'T fidget. Avoid nervous movements like twirling your hair, shaking your leg, or peeling the labels off your beer bottles.

DO use your hands to emphasize what you are saying.

DON'T make jerky or clumsy gestures. If your arms are long, you risk knocking things over or whacking other people.

DO use graceful movements. The easiest way to make your movements more graceful is to KEEP YOUR ELBOWS TUCKED IN.

FACIAL EXPRESSIONS Your face says volumes about you. The expressions you make say as much as the words that come out of your mouth. Studies show that smiling faces are rated as more feminine than serious faces. That’s because women and girls tend to smile more frequently than boys and men. Mastering friendly, open facial expressions won’t just make you look more feminine – it’ll also improve the way people respond to you. DO'S AND DON'TS – FACIAL EXPRESSIONS

DON'T wear a stoic expression. What feels “neutral” to you may come across as grumpy to others.

DO put on a pleasant face. Keep the corners of your mouth slightly turned up at all times.

DO greet clerks, waiters, and people you meet with a smile – even if they're strangers.

EYE CONTACT Eye contact is a major way to gauge how a person feels. People who don't make eye contact are perceived as insecure or as if they are hiding something. People who look you in the eye appear confident and sincere. Confidence is half the battle to passing as a woman. Look people in the eye (no matter how nervous you feel) and you are a lot more likely to be accepted. DO'S AND DON'TS – EYE CONTACT

DON'T avoid people's eyes.

DO make eye contact and hold it for a second or two.
