Feast of Christ the King

This passage from Matthew might be considered a list of essential duties for a follower of Christ. The Gospel

points out that Jesus speaks about the “nations” who gather, so we can see this as both an individual and communal

response to God. As individuals and as a community, are we able to see Christ in the needy, the least, the poorest

and the forgotten? Our yes, to accepting the Kingdom depends on our willingness to see and respond to them as we

would to Christ.

O Queen of the Rosary, Sweet Virgin of Fatima, who has deigned to appear in the land of Portugal, we beg you to watch over our dear homeland and assure its moral and spiritual revival. Bring back peace to all the nations of the world so that all, our own nation in particular, may be happy to call you their Queen and the Queen of Peace. Amen. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for our country.
