36 One of the Pharisees invited Jesus to eat with him, and he entered the house and reclined at table. 37A woman from the town, a known bad character… brought an alabaster jar of ointment.
If this man were a prophet…
40“Simon, I have something to say to you.” And he said, “Teacher, say it.”
There were 2 debtors; one owed 500 denarii; the other owed 50
Both debts were forgiven.Which of them will love more?
You are right…Do you see this woman?
‘So the conclusion I draw is this: she must have been forgiven
many sins! Her great love proves it! But if someone has been
forgiven only a little, they will love only a little.’
You did not… but she…
‘Go in peace.’48 Then he said to the woman, ‘Your sins are forgiven.’
50 ‘Your faith has saved you,’ said Jesus to the woman.
“The one who is forgiven little,
loves little.”
