Gaels in the Pros (as of 1/18/20)

1. Scott Machado (6'1''-G-90, graduated '12, plays pro in Australia) led Cairns Taipans to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Adelaide 36ers (11-12) 108-91 in the Australian NBL on Saturday night. He scored 21 points and added 9 passes in 34 minutes. Cairns Taipans (13-10) are placed third in the NBL. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Machado has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 16.9ppg, 3.6rpg, 8.1apg and 1.4spg. Machado is a naturalized Brazilian.

2. Kiril Wachsmann (6'8''-C-84, graduated '06, plays in Uruguay) led Malvin to a victory against the eighth-ranked Goes (9-10) 77-71 in a derby game in the Uruguayan LUB in Friday night's game. Wachsmann had a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting 17 rebounds. Malvin Montevideo (9-1) is placed first in the LUB. His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. Wachsmann has relatively good stats this year 10.2ppg, 10.9rpg and 1.7apg in 15 games he played so far. He has also Uruguayan passport.

3. Isaiah Williams (6'7''-G/F-92, graduated '16, currently in Switzerland) contributed to Neuchatel's victory against the closely-ranked Massagno (8-6) 92-86 in the Swiss SBL last Wednesday. Williams scored 18 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 37 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Union Neuchatel Basket (12-2) is placed second in the SBL. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. This season Williams averages 7.1ppg, 4.9rpg and 2.7apg.

4. Michael Glover (6'8''-C/F-87, graduated '12, plays pro in Indonesia) was the major contributor in NSH's victory against one of league's weakest teams Hang Tuah (1-3) 93-84 in the Indonesian IBL on Saturday night. Glover had a double-double by scoring 28 points and getting 10 rebounds. NSH Jakarta (2-1) is placed fifth in the IBL. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Glover has very impressive stats this year 21.0ppg and 10.0rpg in three games.

5. Jan Svandrlik (6'6''-F-94, graduated '18, plays in Czech Republic) contributed to a BK Opava's victory against the tenth-ranked NH Ostrava (4-15) 84-76 in the Czech Republic NBL in Saturday night's game. Svandrlik scored 8 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 20 minutes. BK Opava (15-4) is placed second in the NBL. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important. This season Svandrlik averages 6.1ppg, 3.5rpg and 1.1spg.

6. Aaron Rountree III (6'8''-F-93, graduated '16, plays pro in Qatar) helped Al Ahli edge one of league's weakest teams Al Khor 65-64 in the Qatari D1 on Thursday night. He recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting 16 rebounds. Rountree III also added 5 assists and 4 blocks in 40 minutes. Rountree III has relatively good stats this season 13.4ppg, 10.3rpg, 4.1apg, 2.9bpg and 1.6spg.
