Keep calm and safe.The European Central Bank have outlined 7 steps to follow if you are uncertain of a banknote’s authenticity.
Do
1. Tell the customer that you need to speak briefly to your supervisor or a security officer, but ensure that the customer can always see the note.
2. Make a mental note of the customer’s appearance.
3. Try to stall them.

4. Contact your local Authorities.5. If they leave by car, make a note of their
number plate and the car make & model.6. Hand over the suspect note without delay to
your supervisor or security officer for forwarding to the authorities.
7. Make sure you are safe at all times.
