What if the soil name has a
soil texture in it?? The only thing this means is that the initial
horizon is the texture that is in the name. For example, Pottsburg Sand means that
the first horizon (the A horizon in this
case) is sandy. Pottsburg Sand, High means the soil is
found in the higher position on the
landscape. Pottsburg Sand, Lows means the soil is
found in the lower position on the
landscape.
