As part of the celebrations, North Sydney artists were invited to participate in an art exhibition about North Sydney’s special places, as envisioned by the community who live here. A total of 43 artworks from 30 local artists have been selected for the exhibition. A variety of artworks such as photographs, paintings, drawings and mixed media were submitted and many artworks show the beautiful natural environment that we are lucky to have in North Sydney. Artists have taken their inspiration from places such as Balls Head, Berry’s Bay and of course, the Harbour, as well as their local park where they walk their dog. All the artworks tell a personal story about the special connection the artist has towards their place and the meaning they derive from that connection. The Exhibition will be on display from 7 July to 27 August 2015 in the following locations: ‘In Transit Art Space’ at North Sydney Council Chambers, Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm Stanton Library, Monday – Thursday 9am – 9pm, Fridays 9am – 6pm, Weekends 10am – 5pm North Sydney Community Centre, Monday - Friday 10am -6pm Sense of Place Sense of Place Sense of Place Sense of Place Art Exhibition Art Exhibition Art Exhibition Art Exhibition 7 July to 27 August 2015
