NATIONAL SCOUT VENTURE CAMP

The Boy Scouts of the Philippines hold its 6th

National Scout Venture Camp last May 05-10,

2014 at the Province of Pangasinan with the theme Scouting for the Environment. Scouts and

Scouters from Northern Luzon up to the Sourthern Mindanao gathered here to learn, to enjoy and

to have fun in the way of the Scouting Spirit.

The Scout Venture Camp aims to provide opportunities for Senior Scouts to practice and

enhance their physical, social, mental, emotional and spiritual potentials. Discover and act upon

their strengths through challenging, adventurous and experiential learning activities.

National Scout Venture Camp are Paraaque National High SchoolMain (PNHS-Main),

Dr. Arcadio Santos Nation High School (DASNHS), Paraaque National High School Don

Bosco (PNHS-Don Bosco), Life Formation Mission and St. Andrews School.

The Grand Opening Ceremony was held at the Capitol together with the Camp Chief of the

Event Gov. Amado T. Espino, Jr. Mr. Wendel E. Avisado - BSP Senior Vice President and

Acting Secretary General, Mr. J.R. Pangalinan Regional Director of WOSM-APR, The

Members of the United Nation and other Official Heads of the Local Government witness this

gathering to have a warm welcome to all scouts and scouters.

The activities of the Scout Venture Camp are SEA Scouting Expedition, LAND Scouting

Survival, AIR Scouting Adventure, Global Development Village, Obstacle Journey and Venture

Rally.

SEA Scouting Expedition: This activity teaches us the 8 swimming defense plan, life saving,

rafting and weather forecasting. LAND Scouting Survival: This activity teaches us about sports,

boating and many other more. AIR Scouting Adventure: This activity teaches us how to make a

kite, signalling, wigwag, aircraft modelling and electric circuit. Global Development Village:

This activity teaches us from the environment, human rights and to promote the messengers of

peace. Obstacle Journey: This activity teaches us about teamwork and unity.

The Special National Court of Honor held at the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and

Management Council on the last day in the afternoon. The New Batch of Eagle Scouts of BSP-

Paraaque City Council were Sct. Averey Clint J. San Miguel, Sct. Daniel SA. Rion, Sct. John

Carlo A. Primo and Sct. Jasier E. Sahagun. They had received their Eagle Scout Medal together

with the Eagle Scout I.D. and the congratulation letter coming from the BSP National President

and the BSP Acting Secretary General.

The Grand Closing Ceremony held at the last day of the camp with the arrival of the BSP

National President and the Vice President of the Republic of the Philippines, Mr. Jejomar C.

Binay to give his final message for the closing of the camp. After that each representative for

Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao gave their speech about venture camp.
