School day: 8:50 AM-3:45 PM
Students will start the day in a homeroom period (about 15 min)
Students will attend 4 core classes that are 55 minutes each
Students will have two electives each day that are about 45
minutes each
Students will have a 35-minute advisory class daily that will assist
them with their study skills and extra academic support

AVID 7:
● This is a three year course designed to support students who are
seeking college preparatory experience
● AVID prepares students for success in high school and eligibility for
four-year colleges and universities
** Application and interview is required

● Students will build on their
experience from 6th grade

from contemporary, classical,
and student-composed work

● Semester long
● Students will explore various art
mediums including drawing,
painting, mixed media, and
ceramics

Technology 7: Semester long
● Students will engage in basic computer skills
● Students will have the opportunity to learn about 3D printing, graphics,
robotics, & mixed media
● After completing one semester, students have the opportunity to participate in
PNN
Robotics 7: Semester long
● Students will explore engineering and programming through NTX Lego
Mindstorm
● Students will learn teamwork, the basics of robotics, engineering and
programming concepts
Robotics 7B: Semester Long (*Mr. Baker’s Signature Required):
● Students who have had previous experience in Robotics
● Students will use NXT, Shphero and other devices to further their
understanding
Technology & Robotics
● Semester long course
● Students will learn and actively use the Engineering Design Process to
bring designs to life
● Students will be exposed to basic software, tools, and equipment
found at the foundation of any CTE STEM (College & Technical
Education, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)
● Students will use tool such as CAD (computer-aided design), 3D
printing, software design, Arduinos, coding, and other tools to
manufacture new products

Physical Education 7: Semester long
● Students will participate in team and individual sports (flag football,
basketball, volleyball, floor hockey, badminton, lacrosse, softball, soccer,
pickleball and fitness activities).
● Colorado State Standards for Physical Education, which include movement
and skill development, fitness, knowledge needed for games and activities,
prevention and risk management.
Health 7: Semester long
● Health education builds students' knowledge, skills, and positive attitudes
about health.
● Students will learn about physical, mental/emotional and social health.
This class motivates students to improve and maintain their health,
prevent disease, and reduce risky behaviors.

Band & OrchestraBand 7 (Beginning): Year Long
● Students will learn to read music and play a flute, clarinet, trumpet, french horn, trombone, euphonium, or tuba.
● Students can provide their own instrument or rent one from the school
Band II (Minimum of one year playing experience): Year Long
● Students will continue to play their chosen instrument from 6th grade band. ● Students’ grades will include performing at evening concerts
Strings 7 (Beginning Orchestra): Year Long
● Students will learn to read music and play a violin, viola, cello, or bass.● Students can provide their own instrument or rent one from the school
Intermediate Orchestra 7 (Minimum of one year of experience):
● In this year-long course, students will continue to play their chosen instruments from 6th grade strings
● Students will perform at evening concerts
Music 7: Semester long
● Students will receive instruction in music and will practice: guitar, bass, drums, percussion and keyboards
Choir 7 Men’s & Choir 7 Women’s: Year Long
● This class is designed for students who wish to pursue singing at a serious level
● Attention to diction, phrasing, music reading, tone quality, and rhythmic accuracy
● Attendance at scheduled rehearsals and performances is mandatory

Spanish 1A: Year long
● Students will explore the Spanish language by learning basic skills in
listening, speaking, reading, and writing Spanish with an emphasis
on communication
Spanish AB: Year Long (Ms. Grant/ Ms. Carroll’s Signature Required)
● This is an accelerated course
● Students need to have previous experience (Exploratory Spanish 6)
