On behalf of the organising committee, I encourage you to consider sponsoring this international ocean conservation event, being held on the Gold Coast from 10th to 14th February 2020. We are committed to drawing at least 400 attendees, including 200 internationals, to the conference.

Gold Coast World Surfing Reserve Inc. successfully won the rights to host the 6th Biannual Global Wave Conference to be held at the Gold Coast Campus of Southern Cross University. We would like to thank Southern Cross University for sponsoring the conference venue.

International partners, Save the Waves and Surfrider International, host the Global Wave Conference every two years in different locations around the world. Previously, the event has been held in France, Portugal, Mexico, UK and, most recently, the USA.

This is the first time that Australia and the Gold Coast are hosting the conference and we are thrilled that it coincides with the first year that surfing will be introduced into the Olympic Games.

I say, go for gold - go for the Gold Coast!”This 6th Global Wave Conference aims to highlight the growing threats to waves and surfing habitats worldwide, facilitate global coastal environmental and sustainability initiatives, and increase leadership from the surfing community on the protection of waves, oceans, beaches and marine ecosystems. By bringing together environmental and social scientists, world surfing legends, conservationists, surfing industry and the sustainability and eco-surfing conscientious, we will explore future solutions for surf sustainability, recycling of surfing products, removal of plastics and we will investigate ways of making our oceans Safer, Healthier and Cleaner for future generations.

Upon confirmation, please forward a print quality logo to the Conference Manager to ensure full acknowledgement and promotion of your involvement in the conference is received.

PRINTED PROGRAM / MOBILE APP ADVERTISEMENTS

Upon confirmation, advertisement specifications will be emailed to you. All artwork must be emailed to the Conference Manager by 10 January 2020.

PULL UP BANNERS

Sponsors are encouraged to bring their pull up banner to the conference venue. Should you need to have your banner couriered, please advise the Conference Manager for a delivery label. The Conference Manager will set up and pack up the banner on your behalf, however, takes no responsibility for any loss or damage that may occur. It is the sponsors responsibility to organise the collection of the banner from the conference venue within 2 days of the conference completion.

REGISTRATION AND FUNCTION TICKETS

All complimentary registrations and social function tickets must be allocated a minimum of 4 weeks prior to the conference. Exhibitor registrations include entry to the exhibition area and daily catering. Entry to the conference program and social functions are not included. Please contact the Conference Manager if you would like to purchase additional registrations or social function tickets.

Terms & Conditions

1. All Sponsorship costs are in Australian Dollars and are exclusive of GST, which will be charged at 10%.

2. Sponsorship is not secured until a signed sponsorship agreement has been returned and payment has been received.

3. Invoices will be issued upon receipt of signed sponsorship agreement. Payment of invoice is due within 14 days of issue.

4. Following confirmed commitment, sponsorship is non-refundable.

5. Sponsorship entitlements will be delivered only upon full payment being received.

6. The Conference Organisers retain the right to approve sponsor applications.

7. Sponsorship packages are not to be split or re-assigned unless prior consent has been given by the Conference Organisers.

8. The Conference Organisers have final say on all artwork, merchandise and publications that may highlight sponsor logos or artwork.

9. Information provided in this prospectus is correct at the time of publication. The Conference Organisers reserve the right to amend sponsorship packages or add additional sponsorship packages as required.
