1. COFFEE INDUSTRY RESOURCES

Whether you’re a specialty coffee veteran or just starting out,

SCAA is the place to find resources that benefit your

company. Here are just a few examples:

SCAA Online Resources | Member companies and their

employees can access an extensive online library, with links

to coffee articles, standards, protocols, statistics and reports,

and more. Highlighted additions to our resources for 2014

include SCAA’s Green Guide Module 3: Waste Reduction

and The Coffee Biology Field Guidebook. The resources

page is free for all members. Studies vary in price and all are

discounted for SCAA members. At scaa.org/resources

Trade Magazines | Members receive a free subscription to a

variety of magazines, including but not limited to: Specialty

Coffee Retailer, Fresh Cup, Roast, Barista Magazine, Coffee

Talk, Global Coffee Review and Tea and Coffee Trade

Journal (length of subscription varies per publication).

Member companies also receive one free subscription to the

SCAA’s Specialty Coffee Chronicle and can purchase

additional copies at a discounted price or access digital

2. GAIN KNOWLEDGE, DEVELOP SKILLS, AND EARN PRESTIGE

Enroll in Professional Development | Want to learn

how to use industry-standard tools and skills to

improve your business? Start here. SCAA Professional

Development programs are taught by carefully vetted

and experienced instructors. The SCAA’s Certificate

programs are recognized and respected globally. SCAA

now offers more regional training and E-Learning

opportunities than ever before. Learn more about our

Volunteer | The SCAA offers thousands of

opportunities to volunteer throughout the year.

Volunteering is a fantastic opportunity for members to

Roasters Guild | The Roasters Guild consists of

specialty coffee professionals dedicated to the craft of

Barista Guild of America | The Barista Guild is the

world’s most important network for the professional

barista. Employees of SCAA member companies

Earn Industry Prestige through Competitions and

Awards | If you are a barista, roaster, or producer, the

SCAA has a competition for you. If you have a

product, wrote a book, or serve our industry, share it
