Day 02 DaMBulla � MiNNEriya � KaNDy Breakfast/Lunch /Dinner•Minneriya National Par (Jeep Safari) - This

National Park with 8889 hectares in extent is famous for it large population of elephants in herds of 100 to 150 roaming in the jungle and seen in the catchment area of the lake.

•Kandy-The hill capital, venue of the annual Perahera The last stronghold of the Sinhala

Kings was finally ceded to the British in 1815. Temple's shrines and monasteries keeping alive Buddhist traditions are everywhere.

experience”, which involves a visit to a plantation to observe firsthand the process, starting from the plucking field where it all begins with the picking of “two leaves and a bud” to the factory where the processing begins. A guided tour around a Tea Factory is an enlightening experience.

Day 04ColoMBo � gallE � ColoMBoBreakfast/Lunch /Dinner•Galle - Sri Lanka’s most historically

interesting town is Galle. It was a major port until about 100 years, but today still handles shipping and sailing boats in the natural harbour.

•The Dutch Fort - Oldest landmark is the massive Portuguese and Dutch Fort which is a “World Heritage Site” in which the central city is contained.

•Jetwing Lighthouse •Turtle hatchery - Where you can see five

species of turtles - Green Turtles (Chelonia-mydas), Hawksbill Turtle (Eretmochelysim-bricata), Loggerhead Turtle (Carettacaretta), Leatherback Turtle (Dermochelyscoriacea) and Olive Ridley Turtle (Lepidochelysoliva-cea). The eggs collected by the Villagers and Fishermen are purchased by the Kosgoda Hatchery and kept in sandy pens until they are hatched. The newly hatched ones are kept in seawater tanks and

released to the sea in the night. This Hatchery alone has released more then 1,750,000 young turtles to the sea. An endowment by the Hasselblad Estate was responsible for the establishment of this hatchery.

头处碉堡的顶上有一座18米高的灯塔，建于1938年。
