BE ON THE LOOK OUT!
Trust me, you wanna “Copy, Paste” this! Sixteen year-old Diggy Simmons, son of infamous “Rev Run” Simmons, carries on a family legacy of great Hip Hop music by making waves with his debut single, “Copy, Paste”. Cur-rently signed to Atlantic Records, Diggy Simmons represents, the modern day Hip Hop Artist, blend-ing, swag, talent and smooth dance moves. So what is next for this promising young artist? From what I see, the sky is the limit for Diggy. With two great role models, Run & Russell Simmons, showing their continuous, support, success is just the beginning..
When do you know you’ve made it in the music industry? Well, when you perform in front of the President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, that is a strong indication. Janelle Monae has been a trend setter ever since, she has set foot on the scene. She has been the sub-ject of many conversations, even before getting signed to Atlantic Records. So what is it about this singer, that got even the President smiling? A musician is an artist that is not just limited to their mu-sic alone. Learning how to deliver it artistically is a talent that even Diddy & Vogue Magazine gives her props for.
Three times nominated for this years Soul Train Music Awards and being nominated for the American Music Awards, this year, should tell you that Marsha Ambrosius, is not playing. Previ-ously introduced as a part of the popular duo, Floetry. Marsha has decided to try it solo and expand her musical horizons. Not only an artist, but as songwriters, she has written for other artists, such as: Alicia Keys and Jamie Foxx. Her debut single, “Late Nights, & Early Mornings” have definitely turned some heads and have en-lightened a new spark in the R&B Soul, genre.

BE ON THE LOOK OUT!
Now-a-days, they say, if you want to make it in the music biz, you got to be all that and a bag of chips. Well, Bruno Mars, seems to have that covered. He sings, writes, plays the guitar and piano, produc-es to name a few. What makes Bruno Mars so interesting is his passion and talent for music as an art. From the presence of his voice to the playful arrangement of music and lyrics, Bruno has reminded us why we all have fallen in love with it in the first place. You can check out latest news about Bruno Mars on his official site, www.brunomars.com.
New look, new sound, Sean Paul is revolutionizing his genre by in-troducing a Pop flavor into Dance Hall. His new single, “Got To Luv U” is currently flooding the night-clubs and radio waves and have received great reviews. His new album, “Imperial Blaze” introduces a more improved Sean Paul. Now producing some of his own tracks and still introducing new faces from Jamaica, Sean Paul con-tinues to open new doors in the Jamaican Dance Hall Industry as it progresses from underground to mainstream. It has been a few years since his last album, but Sean Paul continues to be a leader in Jamaican Dance Hall.
Musiq Soulchild is a prime ex-ample of a true NEO-SOUL Artist. His latest album, “Musiqin-theMagiq” , which is actually more of a blend/cross-over of Soul and Pop music. Musiq Soulchild has evolved from a Philly Soul Artist to a musician who takes his music seriously. For Music, it not about the numbers or just making the albums, its about putting out the best music he can. In his latest album, he has collaborated with producer Swizz Beatz on the song “Anything.” The album reflects a variety of emotions and situations that many can identify with. As usual, Musiq Soulchild proves that real music is still alive.

During this exclusive interview with Chris-tian Ward, who is a well known rapper that goes by his stage name Yung Berg; the hip-hop artist explains beginning to end on the voyage of his music career in hip-hop. As many people don’t know, Yung Berg is from the South side of Chicago [Illinois]. The Chicago rapper made a vital decision at the age of 14 that music was going to be a primary essences of Berg’s life, although he did not win the approval from his par-ents. The young teen ran away from home, where he slept on the streets, which even-tually lead him to distribute drugs; all for Berg’s most ultimate profound passion for
music. For a long period of Berg’s life he lived in New York and in California. It wasn’t long before Berg met the gate keeper of his future success, who hap-pens to be rapper DMX. Berg went to Las Angeles , California with his friends from Chicago and met DMX on the set of the music video “What these bitches want from a Nigga” with Sisqo. On the set the young rapper was surrounded by talented artist that he was deeply inspired by. “I got to meet Aaliyah; and I was amongst people that I really wanted to be like.” Berg said with a smile.Berg remembered the moment of being in

the presence and having a conversation with DMX. As Berg made it clear to DMX he was serious of becoming a rap artist. DMX put the young artist to the test by let-ting Berg rap to his friends first. Berg states that DMX said “You got to rap for my niggas first, and they’re going to let me know if you can rap with the dog” as Berg said with a grin. Berg did just that, as he rapped a 16 bar in front of DMX acquaintances; everyone was bulldozed by his finesse with words, so impressed they asked Berg to come back the next day, which guide him to, Kevin Li-les, who was president of Def Jam Record-ings and now president of Warner Music Group, months proceeded where later Berg was the first artist signed to DMX’s label Bloodline Records. The modest artist shares his hidden talent and his infatuation for writing music. “I’m a song writer at heart; a lot of people don’t know that, Said Berg.I could be writing for The Game one day or writing for Usher or whoever. I like being a song writer because you can say what people normally wouldn’t say.” Berg has written and produced songs for big heavy hitter names in the Hip-hop in-dustry like, Sean “Diddy” Combs for his lat-est album The Last Train to Paris, and also produced the track “John“ for Lil Wayne and Rick Ross, just to name a few. He also writes music for his new artist Mia Rey. “If you write your own songs and pro-duce your own records, you will be in a different financial state. And you will be able to invest into yourself and your artists, or just your dreams in general.”
Berg is firmly taking a different direction on his approach in the music industry; trying to exclude the political part of the music industry, on who the industry thinks what songs should produced by and what artist to work with. “This time around we’re doing our own shit and we’re self-made, I’m going to say what the fuck I want to say” said Berg. Berg is far from slowing down in the music business, but allocating his most reflective production and in the works of his personal project the Young Fly Movement “YFM”, which is working on the song “Shawty you can get it.” The next public Appearance will be on 106&park in November, with his new artist Mia Raye. Eventually Berg would like to work with art-ist like Roscoe Dash, Sean Kingston, Diggy Simmons, and Trey Songz. Berg would also like to collaborate with artist like Kanye West and Jay-Z. The young artist is currently living in Miami Florida, where he is putting his different layers of talent to the test and as well as working with different artists, evidently Berg is continuing to build his empire in the music industry.

Mia Rey is a new artist in Miami taking south Florida by storm. Rey is a triple threat having the ability to sing, Dance, and model. Rey happen to be at the right place at the right time when she bumped into rapper and song writer Yung Berg.Berg’s first intentions of pursuing Rey at the supermarket was not professional but more of a physical attraction, but Rey had a different re-sponse instead of the ordinary reply that Berg was use to. “I was initially trying to holler, but Mia was the kind of person, that didn’t care that I was Yung Berg, Berg said and we just became friends, and we started rocking musically ever since. “Rey is originally from Brooklyn, New York and moved to Miami at the age of ten and was raised in a Puerto Rican house hold. Rey’s talents rup-tured far before those years“I have [been] dancing from when I came out [of] the womb; Reye said with a laugh I have been dancing since I was eight. My dad was the one that kind of figured that out. I sung in church.”The ability of dancing came natural to Rey. Rey never had professional dance lessons during her childhood, just imitating dance moves from music videos from artist like Michael Jackson. Rey was self taught; how-
ever, she had an opportunity to insinuate her dancing capability by taking dance classes and joining the cheerleader team in high school. It’s doubly that Mia has the “it factor” to be a star in the music industry. Rey inspiration comes from notorious females artists; Janet Jack-son, pop star Britney Spears, and also Beyonce. But the most inspira-tional aspect of Rey is having the gift of obtaining faithful relationship with music. As Rey is evolving into a star she is discovering the different sides of being an artist. Rey have immerse of not only just being a model, dancer, and singer, but also being a song writer. “Mia writes as well. I always want to empower her. Cause I haven’t dropped a song as Yung Berg in three years, but I am still rich” Berg said. As Rey has been taken under Berg’s wings she is unfolding and blossom-ing into a rising star to build her identity in the entertainment world and enlightening her vibrant aura of her God given talents to the world.

Washington DC Rapper Wale, born Olubowale Victor Akintimehin has re-leased his second studio album; Ambi-tion on November 1. Ambition has 16 songs including two bonus tracks.
The hip-hop artist, Wale is one of the few influential rappers that have a luke-warm mellow poetic style of emancipat-ing his rap lyrics. The Dc artist is cur-rently signed to MayBach Music Group and Warner Bros Records. Although, Wale is now affiliated with MayBach Music group, which is a different style of rapping from what Wale is use to; however, Wale is able to keep the essence of his individuality of being a lay back DC rapper in his sophomore studio album, Ambition.
According to Hitsdailydouble.com, Am-bition looks to sell between 180,000 copies.
The Ambition album has an undertak-ing diverse collection of songs that defines the magnitude of this highly anticipated album. Wale accumulates an R&B soul aura by collaborating with R&B singer Miguel in the record “Lotus Flower bomb”; the desire and chase of trying to pursue the opposite sex. Wale also contains another smooth record “That Way” , which is another record that is flattering to the woman audience with an R&B vocalist Jeremih complimenting Wale’s poetic rap flow and also adding Rapper, Rick Ross on
to the track.
Wale emerged the sound of disco and hip-hop into a production of, “Miami Nights”, which is a record where Wale explains finally being able to enjoy the “good life” of an entertainer in a Miami night life.
“Miami nights, it was all a dream if I can get my money right, I’m about to O.D.”
Wale is showcasing a little attitude and speaks his true thoughts about fame and fortune, and being legendary in one of his tracks, “legendary.”
“F**k fame, f**k money F**k eve-rything anyone can take from me, It ain’t hard to make money we young n****s, we just trying be legendary.”
Evidently Wale is implicating he is beyond the fame and riches, but the divine level of being legendary is the importance of it all.
Ambition contained one of Wale’s best works yet. Wale’s ability to use meta-phors and entwine other genre of mu-sic into hip-hop makes this sophomore album an outstanding masterpiece. The new wale album Ambition is in stores now and available on iTunes. Wale is also currently on tour, look up local list-ings. www.walemusic.com
