Harald Bekehrti was born in Lower Austria and joined the City of Vienna’s Municipal Department 34 (Faci-

lity Management) in 1985. Having completed a Dipl. Ing. (FH) degree in electrical engineering in 2002, he re-

joined the department in 2004 in an executive function with responsibility for 140 public servants. Since 2010

Dr. Mario Drobics is Thematic Coordinator for IoT at the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology GmbH. He

has worked at the Center for Digital Safety & Security at AIT since 2007. His research is focused on IoT

Alec Essati is an entrepreneur and holds a degree in telematics. He has successfully built several technolo-

gy start-ups during his career, mainly focussing on real-time locating systems for intralogistics applications.
