Happy 65th Anniversary First Capital Federal Credit Union! To celebrate and say thank you, we are giving out $65.00 to one lucky member every week as well as offering some

very competitive loan and deposit promotions.

In addition to our 65th anniversary, I am personally

celebrating another milestone this year… 30 years in the

credit union industry. Wow! Time does fly when you are

having fun and doing what you love!

Thirty years ago, I was working in a local retail store when

I was recruited to work for York Tracktown Employees

Credit Union, which was the credit union that served the

employees and their families from Caterpillar and other

local companies. At the time, I had no idea what a credit

union was, but I accepted the job which ended up being a

life-changing decision and would become my career.

After working as a Loan Officer at York Tracktown for ten

years, we merged into First Capital in 1999. The merger with First Capital opened new opportunities for me in

various management roles. I like to say that I grew up in

the credit union industry and could not imagine doing anything else.

Do what you LOVE,

l ove whatyou do!

As I reflect upon my 30 years in the credit union industry, there are many reasons why working for a credit union has been so rewarding and why I love doing what I do every day:

Democratic Control One member = one vote. Credit Unions are owned by their members. Whether you have $5 or $5 million, your voice is equal.

Membership Our members are connected by a bond of association which fosters a sense of community. We return our profits back to our members in the form of lower loan rates, higher savings rates and lower fees.

Service Credit Unions are ranked #1 in service in many customer satisfaction surveys, because we exist to serve members, not profit.

Community First Capital has a long history of giving back to our community. Our focus is not only to provide products and services to members, but to also build lasting relationships with people in the community where we all live, work, and play.

Cooperation among cooperatives Credit Unions share the same principles, so we work together to strengthen the credit union movement on a local, state, and national level.

Financial Literacy Credit Unions prioritize financial education in our community. In fact, First Capital works with almost every school district in York County discussing credit, budgeting, and the credit union difference.

People Helping People The heart of a credit union is its PEOPLE, which is personally my favorite thing about credit unions. We are focused on our members and committed to helping them. It is, after all, why credit unions exist. Instead of serving a group of stockholders, our focus is providing value to our members, and our community.

First Capital has always been and always will be member-focused. We have an amazing staff, experienced leadership team, and a dedicated board of directors.

Together we will continue to work hard to make your experience with First Capital the very best!

We depend on credit for so many important things in life. Your credit score can determine whether you can buy a car or rent a home…and even how much it will cost you. Plus, with the sheer volume of data breaches today, it’s important to know more than just your score, you also need to know what is on your credit report! That’s why First Capital Federal Credit Union is offering you a FREE Credit Health Check-Up during our Protecting Your Identity Special Event. Our experienced team will review your credit report to determine what is affecting your score, check for unauthorized inquiries, provide suggestions for improving your credit score, and answer any questions you may have! We will have several staff on site and time slots available throughout the evening. Our E-Services and Contact Center Manager will also be on hand to assist you with any digital needs. Time. Who’d like more of it?! Tom, Olga, and Joan were looking for time and simplicity, and they found it with our digital services. Here’s what they discovered:

Tom absolutely despises paying bills. Some of his payments were set up for automatic withdrawal, and he visited six different websites to make the others. When a biller withdrew funds five days early and overdrew his account, that was the last straw. Tom switched to our FREE Bill Pay and loves it. Now all of his payees are in one place, and – because Tom selects the withdraw date – he knows exactly when funds will leave his account.

Olga uses her phone for everything… that includes taking lots of pictures. But until recently she was driving 20 minutes just to deposit small checks! One day, she walked into the branch with phone in hand, showing off her grandchildren. Olga shared that - while she enjoys visiting branch staff - she wished there were an easier way to deposit checks. We introduced her to Mobile Check Deposit, which is as simple as taking a picture with our free Mobile App. Olga deposited her checks through our Mobile App while still at the branch and was amazed at how easy it was. We haven’t seen her in a while, but Olga has continued to make deposits. We hope she’s spending more time with her grandchildren.

Joan appreciates order. When December’s statement went missing, she panicked. A member service representative suggested Joan give our FREE eStatements a try. With eStatements, financial statements and tax forms are available through Online Banking. eStatements look exactly the same as a paper statement and can be viewed, saved, or printed for up to two years. Joan likes the email notification she receives when a new document is available for viewing, and she’s reclaimed space in her file cabinet.

We’ve helped Tom, Olga, and Joan. How may we help you? If you have questions about our digital services, please call, email, or visit us.

It’s easy! Here’s how it works: 1. Bring in your coins. They do not need to be sorted or wrapped,

they simply need to be free of dirt, debris, and other obstructions that could block the machine from accepting the coins.

2. Pour the coins into the machine and press start.3. A receipt will print out with your total dollar amount.4. Take the receipt to the tellers to receive your money.5. First Capital members can enjoy this machine for FREE,

and for a limited time, so can non-members! The Coin Counter is located in the lobby of our West York branch, and can be used from 8:30 a.m. (9:30 a.m. Wed.) until 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
