A total of 65 suspicious alerts on nine different sports were reported to the relevant authorities for further investigation in Q3 2021.
• This figure may be revised in future depending on the outcome of any ongoing investigations
Europe, with 39 alerts made up 60% of the total reported, followed by Asia with 10 alerts.
Notably, over half of the alerts from Asia were from events taking place in Kazakhstan, with six alerts across two sports (football and tennis).
Table Tennis saw a significant increase compared to Q2 2021 with 17 alerts reported in Q3, this figure is also an increase when compared to Q3 2020.
Of the 23 tennis alerts, four matches were provided to the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) as intelligence reports as they do not relate to events sanctioned by the main tennis tours.
• However, some players engaged in those events may fall within the scope of that body’s Tennis Anti-Corruption Program (TACP).
