Hello Fellow Bowlers
Welcome to our 63rd New Zealand Catholic Indoor Bowls Federation National
Tournament.
I would like to thank NZ and Auckland Catholic Bowls for the work they have put
in to making this tournament a success.
The Pukekohe Cosmopolitan Club at 78 Nelson St, Pukekohe, is the main venue,
and St Joseph’s Primary School Hall, 94 Seddon St, Pukekohe, is where Pairs will
be played on Monday morning. The venues are about 5 minutes apart.
). All other games will be played at Pukekohe Cosmopolitan Club where all you
need for an enjoyable weekend of bowling is provided; Bistro dining for small
meals or snacks and a full service restaurant, Lounge and bar area along with the
Sporting Complex.
The Auckland Association are proud to hold this tournament and we hope you have
an enjoyable time meeting up with old and new faces,

Pairs Winners to receive the Matthews Trophy, Bar plus $150 cash each player.

The presentation of trophies will be as follows:
• Singles Trophy will take place at 9.00am Sunday;
• Fours Trophy will be presented at 8.15am Monday;
• Pairs Trophy will take place immediately after play has finished.

Tournament Conditions
1. All games played in accordance with N.Z.C.I.B.F. rules.
2. In all events TWO POINTS will be allocated for a win and ONE POINT for a DRAW.
3. All Section Winners and those with (6) or more points will qualify for Post Section play.
4. Byes in Section play will be taken as indicated by ’*’ in the draw for mats shown against the various sections. For example, in a section of five (5) teams, player Number 5 will have first bye.
5. Post Section play shall be the same as Section play except in the event of a Drawn game, when a deciding end will be played, the order of play for which shall be decided by tossing a coin.
6. The conditions of play regarding the playing of the finals are as follows:
- Singles 10 ends or 45 minutes.
- Pairs 9 ends or 60 minutes.
- Fours 9 ends or 70 minutes.
In the event of a draw at the completion of the game a series of single ends will be played until a winner is found, with the order of play for each such end decided by the tossing of a coin.
7. All games shall be played in accordance with the laws of the game.
7a. Players, or teams who have been drawn to play in a particular section shall not change to play in any other section without permission of the Controlling Authority given prior to the start of the event.
7b. Players not on their mats at the time of the starting signal will be defaulted.
8. Footwear must be soft, flat soled and flat heeled, or regulation outdoor bowling shoes, and the mats walked on as little as possible. Street shoes will not be allowed.
9. All games shall be played with bowls provided by the Tournament Committee as placed on the mats.

General
♦ The programme will as far as possible be run to time, the Tournament Committee reserving the right to amend times as may be required by circumstances.
♦ All players are required to provide their own measures.
♦ MORNING and AFTERNOON TEA will as far as possible, be available at the hall at a reasonable cost.
♦ Federation badges will be available at the hall.
♦ Ribbons and Bars, Championship Badges (where not already held) and Trophies will be presented to winners of all events. Ribbons, Bars and Trophies will be presented to all runners up.
♦ Certificates will be issued to the clubs of which Championship winners are members.

10. Score cards must be correctly kept. At the finish of each game the winners name must be placed in the space provided. The los-ing skip or player must sign the card and it must be left on the mat immediately the game is finished for the official in charge to collect.
Cards incorrectly completed will render both players or teams li-able to be defaulted for that game.
11. Block score sheets will be posted in prominent positions and it is the responsibility of each team or player to see that the correct result of each game is recorded. Any error should be promptly notified to the officer in charge.
12. QUALIFIERS will be marked on the BLOCK SCORE SHEETS as soon as possible after the completion of play. It is the responsibil-ity of players to satisfy themselves, before leaving the hall, whether or not they have qualified for Post Section play.
13. Reasonable dress is expected at all times.
14. All cell phones to be turned off in the playing arena.

SMOKING AND FOOD
There will be NO SMOKING, FOOD OR DRINK (other than water bottles) allowed on the playing floor at any
time.
