Tangents, chords, secants

Tangent have 2 very important properties:

1. The tangent forms a 90° when the point of tangency intersects the radius

2.When you have 2 tangents their segments are ≅ if they go through the same exterior point.

90° extends to tangents not to edge of circle

BTW-- keep your eyes open for the kite/circle problems---they pop up alot

Remember you have to switch your thinking back and forth from circle properties to kite properties
