Registration for the 2019-2020 school year is currently underway. If you would like for your child to return next year please complete the registration form and return it by January 31, 2019, along with the $75.00, non-refundable registration fee. Do you recycle? Can you help us? We need empty egg cartons, paper towel, and toilet paper rolls. If you can save some and send any into school we would truly appreciate it.

Spotlight on Mrs. Armstrong:

1. I was born in Cabarrus Memorial Hospital in Concord, NC.2. Steve and I will celebrate our 39th anniversary in July. One of my nicknames from our daughter is “Princess” because he is so good to/for me. 3. Both of our children, John (35) and Laura (31), went to Philadelphia Presbyterian Preschool and Transitional Kindergarten. (It was called Philadelphia Presbyterian Weekday Kindergarten at that time.)4. I have been a North Carolina Tar Heels basketball fan for as far back as I can remember. I turn off the volume and listen to the “radio guys” (Jones, Eric) and still miss Woody Durham. 5. I love taking photographs. I often use the photos I take to make cards to send to family and friends. 6. I love the beach! It is my favorite place to go on vacation. I went to Oak Island and Southport, NC this past summer and hope to go back there soon. 7. Teaching is the only career I ever thought about having and told my father I would quit Appalachian State University if he made me take those business classes he was trying to make me take. I have never regretted my choice and am currently in my 38th year of teaching. 8. After ten years, I was sad when my friends stopped buying the county mega-tickets because I really enjoyed going to the concerts every summer. 9. I like to play Words With Friends and Yahtzee on the iPad to relax. 10. My sister almost literally ran into Bruce Springsteen in a Durham hotel. (I have loved him since he performed in the ASU gym in the 1970’s.) I enjoy telling the story of my autograph that says, “To Cathy Best and Love, Bruce Springsteen” any time anyone wants to listen.
