Rural Aid Sue Meeking

THE GIFT OF MUSIC (RURAL AID) and the AUSTRALIAN ARMY BAND who delighted us with gifts of musical instruments and a super performance on Monday. What an extreme thrill it was for our music departments to receive numerous musical instruments for our brass and woodwind programs, violins for our strings programs, class sets of mini drums and ukulele! This was a wonderfully uplifting moment for our College which enables our students to access the opportunity to experience musical instruments during performing arts classes. Rural Aid are also working in the area painting the Town Hall, working at the Fauna Park and with some farmers and other community groups. Councillor Vicki Neale supported this event and congratulated our College for our efforts with our music programs noting that all of our students are offered the chance to learn musical instruments, at very reasonable prices, during their Grade 2 – 12 years. You can locate Thegiftofmusic on Facebook.

Echuca Campaspe Tennis Last Friday six students travelled to Echuca to compete in tennis. They were all great role models who proudly represented our College and our College values. Thankyou to Mrs Mangan for organising this day and to Susan Liversidge for taking us over there.

Thank you Sue Meeking

To Rowena Morris and Diane O’Dwyer for generously assisting with costume washing and mending recently. There is always a need for this help so any one is welcome to drop in to Sue Meeking any time to offer a hand!

Religious Instruction We no longer offer Special Religious Instruction (SRI) during

class time. We will be offering a 30 minute class one day per

week during lunchtime. This program will be run by volunteer

instructors from our community for our Prep – Year 6

students. If you would like your child to take part in this

program please collect a form from the Primary Office.

Business Manager’s Report Jan Prior

STUDENT SPONSORSHIP POLICY

College Council have recently introduced a Student Sponsorship Policy to support students with sponsorship for events or programs in a non-school setting. This may include State, National and International events. The aim of this policy is to reinforce, complement and extend learning opportunities beyond the classroom and to develop an understanding that learning is not limited to school, and that valuable and powerful learning takes place in places other than at school.

For more information regarding the Student Sponsorship Policy please go the Kyabram P-12 College policies area on our website by following this link http://www.kyabramsc.vic.edu.au/Policies.html Application forms are also available from the College Office. CANTEEN ORDERING

In 2018 Kyabram P-12 College introduced a new and easy way to order from both of our College Canteens, from your phone at a time and place that suits you. With QKR you can order and pay for your child’s lunches, see your receipts on the app and have them sent to you by email if you choose. This does not replace the usual ordering system we have at each Canteen, but is an added way of ordering your child’s lunch if you wish. This could be handy on those days when you may be running late - you can also place orders in advance, for example, every Friday. Please remember to place your orders on QKR before 9:30 am for that day.

Please see notes below which relate to each of our College Canteens.

PRIMARY QKR orders apply only for lunchtimes

Lunch orders can still be sent with your child Over the counter sales are still available at lunchtimes every school day

If you are unsure of your child’s home group when entering your details into QKR, please contact the office on 5851 2100.

SECONDARY QKR orders apply only for lunchtimes

Counter sales are also available at recess and lunch time every day

All items can still be purchased via cash or eftpos at the Secondary Canteen

If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact the College Office on 5851 2100.

FAMILY ACCOUNTS

Family accounts will be mailed out to families before the end of term. Parents have several options for payment arrangements and these include: internet banking; Centrepay; paying by instalments; BPay; cash; or cheque. If you would like to arrange a payment plan, please do not hesitate to contact either myself or the College Office. Each individual case is treated with confidentiality, empathy and compassion.
