    Although these directions are for building a six plant system, thesedesigns can easily be adapted foras many plants as you want. The

    picture to the right shows two ofthese systems together. The one infront is the 6 plant system, and theone farther back on the same table

    is a smaller 4 plant system. Thesetwo systems are connectedtogether, running in series so theycan both run using the same reservoir, pump, and timer. Adding the smaller 4 plant systemwas only an afterthought, there is no real limit to how many plants you can have growingin a single system, as long as your water reservoir is large enough.

    Parts List 6 empty two liter bottles (cleaned and sterili ed! " inch #$% tubing &ight, " inch #.$.% 'T connectors ) inch threaded and barbed #$% connector (to connect vinyl tubing to #$%! *ne, " inch to ) inch reducing connector (to connect to barbed connector! +even, " inch #$% elbow connectors +ix, " inch #$% straight coupling connectors (to attach bottles to #$% tubing! #$% glue &poxy glue, or a hot glue gun and glue sticks ater pump (strong enough to pump water higher than you need it to! ) inch black vinyl tubing - /0 gallon storage tote (for reservoir!, larger is better 1lack spray paint (to light proof the reservoir and 0 liter bottles! hite spray paint (to paint over the black paint!     The image below is a top view of the base of the hydroponic system. 7otice The short pieces of " inch #$% tubing pointing straight up from each of the 'T connectors whereeach of the six 0 liter bottles will be placed. 9ake sure these pieces aren;t too long or the0 liter bottles can become a bit tipsy. Two to three inches should be fine, and again makesure to dry fit everything together first before gluing them together.

    Also notice the 'T connector for the overflow tube is opposite the side where the barbed) inch connector for the flood line from the pump is located. =n order for the water toflow properly, you want the water to fill from one side of the system, and return from theother side. +o it flows all the way across.

    The threaded and barbed connectorfor the vinyl tubing fits ) inchtubing. +o you need a " inch to )inch tubing connector to connectthem. ou need a short piece of#$% on both sides of the connectorto connect it to the other fittings.

    The barbed connector connects tothe ) inch #$% tubing. 1ut the#$% tubing is not threaded. 7otshown in the picture is anotherconnector that is needed. =t slips onthe ) inch #$% tubing, and isthreaded on the other end. Then the

    =f you want to eliminate any drips coming from the drill hole, you can change theconfiguration of the overflow tube, and raise the drill holes farther above the water flow.=f you replace the elbow connector with a 'T connector, then insert a small piece oftubing in the top of the 'T connector,that will raise it even farther above thewater flow.
