wellness are linked so closely, that they are often inseparable.

Caring, which is an expressional form of love, is the ability to honor another individual deeply enough to know what their principles are and the ability to convey your beliefs in terms of theirs.

If you identify your own values and priorities in your life, it will be easy to identify the values of those that you love and care about. By seeing the congruency between these values, love, care and wellness will flow .

Happy Valentine's day : it is time to reflect upon the meaning of love—not just in the context of loved ones—but also in the context of self-love and the role that love plays in the Law Of The Body And Mind. Wellness of self flows from understanding and living this principle, the basis of which is love.

It is undeniable that your mind and body are related. The best wellness promoters in life are love and gratitude. Changes in the body and mind

act as messengers of love and truth: whatever is inside mani-fests on the outside; a life lived in love for the self and others induces vitality and wellness. The converse is also true.

The Law of Love is the supreme law.

Everyone longs to be cherished for who they are. If you love others for who they are, your own heart will gleam and shine, and you will make a difference in their lives and your own.

True caring empowers others in their lives—and the by-product is empowerment of the self.

Love, caring, empowerment and

Water is the universal solvent, which contributes towards high vitality levels, better brain power, fewer snack attacks and keeping the kidneys healthy.

The general rule-of-thumb to calculate your water require-

ments is as follows:

Take your PRESENT weight and divide this by 10. This gives you the amount of 250 ml glasses to drink daily.

This formula applies to healthy individuals only. If you suffer

from heart or kidney disease, please seek medical or dietetic advice as regards to water re-quirements.

Here are four agreements by Miguel Ruiz: Be impeccable with your word Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love. Don’t take anything personally Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won’t be the victim of needless suffering. Don’t make assumptions Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness, and drama. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life. Always do your best Your best is going to change from moment to moment. Under any circumstance, simply do your best and you will avoid self-judgement, self-abuse and regret.

Here are some very abridged notes on lifestyle and eating ways which will keep your heart healthy: • Eat less total fat (beware of hidden fats) • Eat less saturated fat (mainly in animal products) • Eat fewer trans fatty acids( mainly in refined, processed foods) • Eat less total cholesterol • Eat more fibre (unrefined cereals, fruit and vegetables) • Drink alcohol in moderation. • Exercise more.

Healthy heart tips

Your best friend in measuring your success rate is your meas-uring tape, especially if you do not own a scale. Take circumference measurements of your waist, upper thighs, hips, calves, wrists, neck, upper arms and chest. Meas-ure your results in millimetres on a weekly basis. Compari-sons will enable you to establish localized losses, rather than looking at total losses as measured on a scale. The rate of loss will also help to identify your core problem areas.

Rinse the berries carefully and drain on paper towel, then serve fresh with low fat ice cream, custard, fruit salad, sugar-free jellies or me-ringues.

For special occasions, rasp-

Raspberries are known as the king of berries and grow on climbing canes.

Raspberries contain significant amounts of vitamin C, fibre, iron and moderate amounts of magnesium.

When buying these berries, choose brightly colored fruit which has no brown or

berries can be added to champagne to add a touch of color and splendor.

Why are some patients more successful than others?

The answer lies in the com-mitment that patients make to learning about nutrition, get-ting to know their bodies and in applying the tools that are provided in terms of dietary counseling sessions.

The most common success patterns include:
