Namaste. It has been my honor and pleasure to serve our Temple as theChairperson of Board of Trustees. It has been a great year for our temple. Wecelebrated our yearly Ganesh Mahotsav in September and Navaratri inOctober. We look forward to celebrate Deepavali with all our devotees’participation.

I am honored to be part of this DFW HinduTemple “Ekta Mandir” serving you as yourpresident. I came on board on January 1st 2019and started working with the calendar eventsand pujas. I worked to remodel the cultural hall,install new tiles, and paint the stage and thewalls.This year I am proud to say we created adownloadable mobile App to take the templeto a new level. It is called DFW Hindu Temple,

Since Shri Gopal Maharaj resigned, we started seeking new priestsfor the open position. In March, we hired Shree Lokesh Pandayand he came on board in April. In May, we bought a floor cleaningmachine and in June, we ordered 600 new chairs for theremodeled cultural hall.During these 6 months, the temple roof was not forgotten. Theconstruction committee (Manojbhai Parikh being chair) startedworking with the insurance adjustors simultaneously to get fundsfor a brand new roof.Our public adjustors, Jett McCay and Kris Goodman (from PinnacleLLP), were successful in issuing funds for the new roof from thetemple insurance companyIn August and September, we installed a new roof on the clinicand on the priest’s quarter.In October we signed a contract with SPS Roofing company,(owner Simon Shellis) and the roof is 99% completed. In Novemberwe started to renovate the main temple including garba graha,main temple lobby and the shoe room. We have given a modernlook to the temple, which includes upgrades to the shoe roomand water heaters. Much more maintenance work is being donein 2019, such as the painting of the Gopurum.As you can see from 2019 Ekta Mandir calendar, the temple is fullof events all year around. We had numberous events such as sevendays of Maharudram, where 5 priests came from India and 6 priestscame from other states. This puja was done under the leadershipof Priest Mahalingamji. Currently, we are working on a new pujaname Punah Prana Pratishtha. The first part of this puja was doneon November 26th where they moved all the pranas to SanskarBhavan to create a temple with positive vibration. This was donebecause the main temple was under renovation. The second puja,from Dec. 20th-22nd, is where the pranas will be taken back to themain temple. The temple will be in full operation as of December22nd .

Temple events and pujas are all done at a grand level such asGanesh Mahotsav, Navratri, Durga Jagran, Shree Yantra ChakraPuja, Skand Shasti, Diwali puja, celebration and dinner, andending with 41 days of Ayyappa Swamy Mandala Puja.I am honored to have a cohesive team of Office Bearer, ExecutiveCommittee members, and Board of Trustees for the year 2019. Iwould like to thank our temple priests, managers and cleaningcrew. Without their support and blessing none of this would bepossible. I would also like to thank all the volunteers, Nila Auntieand her kitchen team, hundi team, puja team, Vidya Vikas team,youth team, bhajan group and SLPS community for their supportfor the year 2019. Tusharbhai Basu has played a big role insupporting the temple financially as well as guiding me throughoutthe year 2019. My backbone supports are my children Dhiren,Vimi, Trishna, Meetal, Chetan and my life partner Ketan. I wouldlike to congratulate and wish Chandra K. Bandar, his Executivemembers and Board of Trustees of 2020 the best of luck.We are continuously striving to serve you better. I hope youcontinue to support us with your donations, suggestions and moreimportantly by getting involved in the temple affairs in a positiveway.Once again, I express my gratitude with sincere thanks for allyour help, encouragement, and support for the year 2019.
