It is tradition at Balboa that the BSC and Fourth Grade parents host the Fifth Grade Culmination each year. Therefore, WE NEED YOU!
Fifth Grade Culmination will be held on Thursday, June 6th at 8:30am on the Balboa Yard. Volunteers are needed to set up, decorate, pass out programs, host the reception, and clean up.
If you'd like to volunteer and have some fun, please choose a spot or two for yourself and even add a friend using our online sign-up at https://signup.com/go/GncJYYy by Friday, May 10th. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Sonia Reiter at (818) 424-0516 or [email protected].
Just think….. It will be our children up there next year and our chance to sit back, relax, and enjoy the ceremony. So, please do your part this year and volunteer to help make it a memorable event for this year’s culminating class and their families.

link “Activate my LAUSD Account” 7. Create a password. (Please note that password criteria must
be met. All red Xs must become a green check mark .)
Before you get started, you must have an existing account in Parent Portal, know student’s District ID Number, and Personal Identification Number (PIN) for each student.
1. Go to https://parentportal.lausd.net 2. Click on “LOGIN/REGISTER”
3. Click on #1 - Parent Login 4. Enter Username and Password 5. Click “Yes” or “No” to receive Parent-Student Handbook via
email. Click “Submit” 6. In the My Student section, click on Add Student 7. Enter the required fields 8. Click on Add A Student 9. If Parent Information and Retrieved Information is correct,
click on Finish 10. Click on the name of each student to view information

Earthquake Preparedness Program for 2018-2019
Dear Parents,
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
We need volunteers on Monday, June 3rd from 7:45 am until 8:30 am to help return earthquake bags to each of our 27 classrooms. Volunteers are also needed Monday, June 3rd from 1:45 pm to 2:30 pm to pick up the bins and return them to the storage container.
