Connecting Mobility Markets

Powered by

Ladies and Gentlemen,

We are banking on sustainable mobility con-cepts and seek to pave the wave for this deve-lopment. Electric mobility is a key technology for the automotive center of Bavaria and thus also an important element of the future strategy of the state government titled „Bavaria on the move“.

We seek to significantly shape this innovative and environmentally friendly technology. It is our goal to help Bavaria reach the top in terms of electric mobility. The home country of the combustion engine has to become a source of ideas and innovations for future drive technologies. Bavaria, in particular, is known as a location of premium car manufactu-rers, such as Audi and BMW, and for its innovative suppliers located in a research environment that is acknowledged internationally. It is simply predestined to shape the future of electric mobility.

I am delighted that the federal government has chosen the project „elec-tric mobility, the connecting link“, initiated by companies from Bavaria and Saxony, as an international platform. This initiative is an impressive proof of the powerful alliance between both federal states and confirms the excellent technological power of our corporations, universities and research institutions. In cooperation with the Bavarian model regions we will use this flagship project for the breakthrough of electric mobility on the streets of Germany. I am looking forward to your participation. Martin Zeil Bavarian State Minister for Economy, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology
