The exciting Riviera 5800 Sport Yacht, is the latest and most dramatic of the company’s European-style Sport Yacht series.

The Riviera 5800 Sport Yacht takes luxury boating to a new level with a three or four-cabin, three bathroom layout (plus an optional crew cabin). The 5800 boasts a full beam master stateroom with midships king size double bed, the option of a galley in the saloon or below decks, an expansive cockpit with large dining table and a garage that can accommodate a 3.2-metre tender.

The design further expands the indoor-outdoor character and sense of light and space introduced on the first award-winning Riviera 3600 Sport Yacht and carried on to the 4400SY and 5000SY. The greater volume has allowed designers to take both exterior lines and internal design to a new level of sophistication to create even more visual appeal.

Fixed and opening portlights in the hull are a striking feature that add natural light and ventilation into the full beam master stateroom.

1. The 5800 foredeck is the ultimate relaxation and comfort zone. The sun pad on the foredeck features two lift-up pillow/back rests for the ultimate in comfort. Incorporated into the sun pad are outdoor speakers and the stereo remote control. To port is a self-draining drinks locker that allows you to place ice and drinks up on the foredeck right next to the sun pad. To starboard and protected in a separate locker is an iPod interface to connect your iPod to the vessels stereo system. 2. Cockpit and boarding platform areas flow together as one extended space via stairs either side of the boat. The platform is hydraulically lowered into the water to aid the launching of the tender. With the platform slightly submerged, this area is instantly transformed into your own private beach. 3. Wide side decks with generous handrails make docking or moving forward easy. 4. The huge electrically operated sunroof allows you to bring the sun in doors when desired. 5. The tender garage can accommodate a tender up to 3.2m in length. 6. The wide, open cockpit features an aft lounge and table that lowers to create an aft sun lounge. The perfect place to escape the breeze when at anchor.

C U T T I N G E D G E T E C H N O L O G YDesigned utilising state-of-the-art 3D CAD software, the boat employs a range of new technologies, including revolutionary Volvo Penta IPS propulsion, an integrated system of marine diesel engines and steerable drive units mounted under the hull with twin counter rotating, forward facing, propellers. This system offers easy handling and manoeuvring even in tight situations and a joystick for easy docking. Volvo Penta IPS also offers up to 30 percent better fuel consumption than traditional shaft drive systems. Three Volvo Penta IPS 600 diesels rated at 435hp each are standard.

The Riviera 5800 Sport Yacht is equipped with a cutting edge digital switching system. You can control any DC circuit from either of two easy-to-use control panels at the helm and in the electrical control centre in the saloon. You no longer need to decide which circuit breakers to turn on; simply select the mode which best suits the operation of the vessel (cruise or entertain, for example) and the appropriate circuits will be energised.

The hull has been constructed utilising infusion moulding technology rather than the traditional open moulded lay-up of fibreglass matt and sprayed resin. The resin is introduced to the hull mould via an injection system and drawn through the glass fibre layers using vacuum suction, resulting in consistent hull thickness, reduced hull weight and improved glass fibre to resin ratio, providing greater strength.

7. Engine room access is via a watertight door located aft in the storage room or optional crew quarters. 8. From every angle, the 5800 Sport Yacht is a striking, bold design. Timeless in its lines, yet powerful in its statement of success. 9. IPS cockpit joystick controls are concealed in the two aft quarter panels in the cockpit. These allow excellent sight lines aft and forward for reversing into a berth or coming alongside where access to the side decks or boarding platform is required for line handling.

L I G H T, S PA C E – A N D S T Y L EWith accommodation options of three or four cabins plus optional crew’s quarters, the Riviera 5800 Sport Yacht is designed for comfort, whether overnighting in a sheltered bay or on a long-distance coastal cruise.

The cockpit is both spacious and functional with a wide lounge and table mounted on electric high/low pedestals. Wet bars, including solid surface tops with sink and mixer tap, are built into the port and starboard forward quarters of the cockpit. The starboard wet bar features a stainless steel ice-maker.

Forward, a sun pad with rails and drink holders is fitted to the foredeck. Under and behind the cockpit, a garage can house a 3.2-metre tender. A hydraulic swim platform lifter is fitted for ease of launching and retrieving the tender or PWC.

Interior space in the 5800 Sport Yacht feels very light, airy and spacious. The outdoors come inside as the window and door of the aft bulkhead open out and a huge electric sunroof slides open at the push of a button.

10. The bar area in the saloon is positioned immediately adjacent to the cockpit and features a fridge/ice maker, two drawer fridges and ample glass and bottle storage. 11. The galley down option allows for a huge C-shaped lounge to be placed opposite the dining area to starboard that runs all the way from behind the helm seats to the aft bulkhead. This arrangement is perfect for entertaining as the chefs are afforded privacy in the lower open design galley. 12. To starboard discretely hidden underneath the all weather protection of a laminated hatch and doors is the BBQ, fridge and storage compartment. 13. The optional lower galley is placed on the port side and replaces the two berth cabin. The large void above the galley allows an abundance of natural light to flood below from the forward saloon windscreen. Further natural light, visibility and fresh air are brought to the galley via an opening porthole above the bench top. 14. The helm station is clean and precise in its design accommodating all control and navigation screens. The helm chair is electrically adjusted and the inboard guest helm chair swivels inwards towards the saloon and dining area. 15. Aft of the helm station is a large flat screen television that can be lowered out of site. The television is located directly opposite the lounge/dining area. Stools (optional) can be positioned forward of the galley to create a convivial bar seating arrangement.

L U X U R I AT E I N T H E F I N E S TO F I N T E R I O R D E S I G NStepping inside the saloon, the standard layout includes a large U-shape galley in the aft starboard quarter. The fully equipped galley is designed with a breakfast servery and two stools forward, immediately aft of the helm position.

The galley layout features quality appliances throughout, including an electric induction three-element cooktop, two drawer fridges and two drawer freezers, a convection microwave oven, solid-surface benchtop with a stainless steel underslung sink and mixer tap. The U-shape dinette, with soft leather seating for up to six adults and timber table is set on a raised platform forward to port. A bar area is set opposite the galley while the entertainment systems includes an electric lift 40-inch LCD TV integrated with a Bose Lifestyle system.

The helm console is ergonomically designed so that all critical navigation equipment and controls are within easy reach. A high quality timber sports steering wheel completes the helm. Stepping down from the saloon, the companionway leads to the VIP guest stateroom forward and twin cabins on port and starboard sides.

The master stateroom aft features a king-size walk-around double bed amidships and striking deep windows on either side flooding the cabin with light and ventilation. A deep walk-in wardrobe, and vanity table are built into the starboard side, with en suite bathroom to port.

The VIP guest stateroom forward features a queen island double bed with hanging lockers port and starboard.

The starboard twin cabin can quickly and easily be converted to a double simply by sliding the inner bed across. The port cabin features two pullman style bunks. This cabin is replaced by the galley in the below deck galley layout option. A third bathroom is available to serve the twin cabins and act as a bathroom for day guests.

The mirrored panel behind the glass bowl sink slides sideways to cover the porthole to provide privacy when required. 18. Master stateroom walk-in robe is cedar lined and features two hanging rails and two sets of drawers. 19. The day bathroom also serves as an ensuite to the starboard guest cabin. 20. The full width master stateroom is luxurious in every appointment and features an ensuite, bureau to port with apposing lounge to starboard, large opening port holes, a walk-in robe, entertainment centre and vanity table and mirror. Generous headroom and a pleasing palette of fine timbers, fabrics and finishes combine to create a cabin you'll never want to leave. 21. Port side guest cabin features two single berths, an opening port hole and ample storage. 22 and 23. Starboard side guest stateroom features an ingenious bedding design. Two single berths can be moved together on a track system to quickly create a double bed. An opening port hole, generous storage and ensuite access to the day bathroom complete the below decks arrangement aboard a very accommodating vessel.

Die Riviera 5800 Sport-Yacht hebt die Luxuschifffahrt mit ihrer Drei- oder Vier-Kabinen-Variante auf ein neues Niveau. El Yate Deportivo Riviera 5800 lleva la navegación de lujo a un nuevo nivel con sus opciones de tres o cuatro cabinas, incluyendo un camarote principal que ocupa toda la manga de la nave con una cama doble King en el centro de la nave, la opción de una cocina en el salón o debajo de las cubiertas, una cabina de mando muy amplia con gran mesa comedor y un garaje que puede alojar una nave de suministro de 3,20 metros.
