During its 90 years, the Genetti Hotel has been the site of thousands of banquets, balls, benets, dinners, luncheons, conventions, concerts, and meetings for the civic, social, business, and political organizations of Williamsport and surrounding cities, as well as for state and national organizations. Headquarters for the Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary Club, the Retail Merchants Association, Kiwanis, Lions, Advertising Club, the Community Trade Association, and Little League, the hotel has hosted luncheons and dinner meetings as well as special events for these organizations for decades.

The annual New Year's Eve Ball and Card Party was the height of several holiday seasons before the Depression and after World War II. Reservations for the 1923 ball were limited to 400, at a cost of $3.75 per person. The 10-piece hotel orchestra under the direction of Frank Desio provided the music. Other social events include the Dahlia Exhibit of the Williamsport Garden Club held in the ballroom in 1924; the Williamsport National Dinner Club, which hosted national and international literary and political gures seven times a year, the Williamsport Choral Art Club's "An Evening of Opera"; Williamsport High School reunions; and testimonial dinners for such local luminaries as J. Roman Way and Dietrick Lamade.
