Ramblings
from Fr. Michael
Greetings and peace to everyone. As always, I hope
and pray that you are all doing well.
I had many of our winter parishioners tell me last weekend that they were leaving
us this past week. Some others informed me that they will be with us until the
end of April. I want to thank everyone for your help and support during your time
among us. When I appealed for financial assistance some weeks ago, quite a
number of you came forward to help. Thank you for your generosity. We are
truly grateful.
I would like to tell you a funny story! On my day off, I often go to one of my
favorite restaurants for breakfast—The Village Café in Siesta Village. I usually
bring Oscar, My Shiz Tzu and he is happy to sit quietly under the table while
I eat. I thought that all of the staff at the restaurant knew Oscar by now but one of
the owners told me last week that one staff member thought that my name was
Oscar!!! I didn’t know what to think!! So here, Oscar is known and I am not!!
What’s wrong with this picture?? LOL!! I still laugh when I think about it!
Several of you have spoken with me about the condition of our church grounds.
We ourselves have noticed a serious deterioration around the grounds in recent
months. We are concerned about this and we are addressing the issue with our
landscaping company. This memo is intended to keep everyone informed.
Wishing everyone a blessed week,
Fr. Michael
