5/18/16 ALHAMDULILLAH, ANNUAL DAY 2016 WAS A GREAT HIT 15 th Annual Day program brought 16 Islamic schools together from 3 states including Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio. Annual Day brings together youth from regional Islamic schools for a weekend of competition and fun. We had total 32 basketball teams, 70 Quranic reciters and many guests from across three states. A sincere thank you from the heart for Sr Tilat Rizvi, Brs Faris Ghani, Nadeem Qureshi, Munam Sayeed, Gulame Asif, Sr Fatima Emlemdi for their leadership and the entire Annual Day team of volunteers that supported hundreds of youth and their families in the basketball tournaments and hundreds of additional youth and families in the Quranic competition. In addition, an incredible team of donors both provided and served lunch for over 600 people. The ice cream truck was a tremendous addition and a big hit. They all dedicated countless hours to help make one of ICGC's signature events a tremendous success. Annual Day weekend and everything leading up to it is a critical part of reaching Muslims locally and hundreds across surrounding states. As we are tremendously blessed to have a very successful model in our Tours & Talks program for external outreach, Annual Day weekend serves as an exemplary model for internal Muslim community outreach and engagement. Congratulations to all the Quranic competition and basketball winners and to all the participants for their truly valiant efforts in all areas. Jazzakallah Khair for every volunteers sincere efforts and excellent results. May Allah swt bless you, your families and our community with all of his mercy and goodness.
