1st Mesopotamian Invention(Example)

The Wheel

According to the World History book, “One of the most important inventions of all time was the wheel…and was likely used for transporting goods on a platform.” This quote states that with the wheel Mesopotamians were able to move more goods, probably food. This is important because they were making a surplus of food in one area and would need help transporting all of that food to homes. This invention allowed them to pile on food or other goods and easily push or pull it to where it needed to be. This invention was so important that we STILL use it today! We use wheels on our vehicles for transportation, on wheel chairs when we are unable to walk, and on bicycles to exercise or travel.
