LETTER OF PERMISSION

To

The Commissioner & Secretary (Health & FW) Department Health & FW, Government of Mizoram, Room No. 205 Mizoram New Secretariat, Aizawl - 796001

Subject: Establishment of New Medical College at Falkwan, Mizoram with an annual

intake of 100 MBBS students for the academic year 2018-19-Reg.

Sir/Madam,

In continuation of this Ministry's letter of even number dated 22.05.2018 and your letter dated 23.05.2018 furnishing required undertaking, I am directed to convey the formal permission of the Central Government for establishment of new Medical College at

Falkwan, Mizoram in the name & Style of "Mizoram Institute of Medical Education and

Research, Falkwan" with annual intake of 100 MBBS students for the academic year 2018-

19 under Section 10 A of the IMC Act, 1956.

This permission of the Central Government is accorded initially for a period of one year and will be renewed on yearly basis subject to verification of achievement of annual targets as indicated in your scheme. This process of renewal of permission will continue till such time the infrastructure and expansion of hospital facilities are completed as per norms of Medical Council of India and the College is recognized. The next batch of students

shall be admitted only after obtaining permission of the Central Government.

Admissions made in violation of the above conditions will be treated as irregular

and action under IMC Act, 1956 & Regulations made thereunder will be initiated.

The Government Medical Colleges (except those located in J&K State) shall contribute 15% of MBBS seats for which the renewal permission is granted for all India

quota.
