1Bring a Cooler for Ice Water…and an Extra Shirt

While it’s true that installing a trade show exhibit is inherently sweaty work, our crew agrees that throughout the country, the Orange County Convention Center is one of the hottest (and most humid) venues for trade show installations. An extra shirt will make your afternoon much more comfortable.

Water fountains are around if you know where to look, but having your own cooler is definitely the way to go!

Emergency Booth Resources

If you have an “exhibit emergency” on the show floor or a shipment was missed from the office and can’t ship in time for the show, resources like Light Bulbs Unlimited, Lowes, The Home Depot, Staples and Best Buy are all less than 7 miles from the convention center.

Last-Minute Shipments Through FedEx Office

With FedEx Office Print and Ship Centers conveniently located in the North, South and West Concourses- last-minute shipments are a breeze.

Last-Minute Shipments Through UPS Store

If UPS is your preferred carrier, there is a UPS Store inside of the Hilton across from the North/South concourse, but since it is so conveniently located there are additional fees when shipping from this location.

To save money, use the UPS Store on the corner of Sandlake Road and International Drive, which is less than a mile away.

Free Parking During InstallParking can range from $9-15. Try parking in the free lot on Destination Parkway located behind the parking garage. There are shuttles that will take you to the North/South and West Concourses. (You can often find a Pedi-cab driver here too.)

Lunch Break!

The convention center district on International Drive has dozens of restaurant options available in every price range. Pointe Orlando is in walking distance if you can bear the heat and offers Tommy Bahama’s, BB Kings Blues Club, Hooters, and many more.

Our team frequents Red’s Deli for a delicious and affordable option located by the swimming pool just inside the Rosen Centre Hotel (there are a couple of Rosen hotels- make sure you go to the Rosen Centre on the corner of International Drive and Convention Way ).
