June 25, 2010 #9 New Format Tonite I normally don’t begin this newsletter by congratulating drivers, but in this case, I just gotta! I knew it was just a mat- ter of time until we would see Earl Polk and Mike Moore in victory lane. These two best friends have been racing in the Super Stock division for a few years now and both have been so close to winning. On Friday June 11, Polk won his first feature. To top it off, Moore practically pushed him across the finish line for a one-two finish. I caught myself cheering, and I’m not supposed to do that. Oh well; I don’t care who saw it because if anyone disap- proved, I hate it for them. There are no nicer drivers or sportsmen than these two. Way to go Earl and Mike maybe next time the scoreboard will show 55 and 53 at the top. Congrats to D J Vanderley, Steve Buttrick, and Mike Goraum on their feature wins on June 11. As far as the kids bike race; how can you have only one winner in each of the age divisions? They are all win- ners. A special “THANK YOU” to all the sponsors. Now let’s talk about to- night. You will see a different format in the Blizzard race. Promoter Tim Bryant is constantly thinking of ways to make the trip to Pensacola a little more economical. Tonight the drivers will have a competition caution at half way (lap 50). The field will be frozen and all drivers will be allowed to pit without losing track position. They can make adjustments, change two tires and restart where they were, as long as they are back on the track in time. They can still make pit stops and get the two allotted spare tires anytime they wish before lap 50, but the only time after lap 50 will be if a tire is completely flat. You ask why, and how does it save the racers any money? Simple reason; they won’t have to bring as many crew members! Also for the fans, we will roll the dice for the cars to invert at the start of the race. After tonight’s 100 lap race, Bryant will decide if this was a good decision. If not, he will go back to the old way or come up with some other ideas. Now let’s close with a “BOOM”. Thanks PEN AIR. New Format Tonite I normally don’t begin this

newsletter by congratulating drivers, but in this case, I just gotta! I knew it was just a mat-ter of time until we would see Earl Polk and Mike Moore in victory lane. These two best friends have been racing in the Super Stock division for a few years now and both have been so close to winning. On Friday June 11, Polk won his first feature. To top it off, Moore practically pushed him across the finish line for a one-two finish. I caught myself cheering, and I’m not supposed to do that. Oh well; I don’t care who saw it because if anyone disap-proved, I hate it for them.

They are all win-ners. A special “THANK YOU” to all the sponsors.

Now let’s talk about to-night. You will see a

different format in the Blizzard race.

2 drivers be? Another

oldie from Tony Martin.

Hint, both have won
