What’s coming-up down the trail!

GENERAL MEETING

General Meeting - We are VERY EXCITED to be hosting our First Meeting since February due to Covid limitations. We just had our first Board Meeting since January and I'm happy to say it was a FULL HOUSE, I think we were all happy to be OUT and to be TOGETHER. We hope if you are healthy and comfortable with getting out that we will see you at our meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 4th, at 7pm. To enhance the evening we have a great guest speaker, Mady from Purina Feed, she is not about the SALE, she's about educating you on the best feed for your individual horse or situation. We start at 7:00 PM with pizza/drinks and some social time, 7:20 PM meeting and 7:45 PM - Guest Speaker. I'll let ya know the meeting room name ASAP as they moved us to a bigger room due to wanting to allow more room between chairs, etc. Lastly, due to this CRAZY Year taking away from our Anniversary Celebrations we will be trying to celebrate a little during this meeting with some fun surprises for everyone and extras for those that rejoin for 2021 and even more for first time members. Our NEW T-Shirts will also be available For Sale at the meeting, $10.00 each. BOARD MEETING We met on Oct. 14th for the first time since January due to Covid restrictions, it was a GREAT meeting and we will meet again in January 2021. UPCOMING EVENTS

ANNIVERSARY HORSE SHOW - Nov. 8th, we are VERY EXCITED that we finally get to celebrate a BIG Show and our Anniversary. Please pass this along to everyone you know that likes to Show, we are having extra special awards and raffle opportunities for those in attendance. We are always looking for competitors, sponsors, help on show day and more, contact Dee Dee or any Board member if you are interested or have questions. All Show info and forms are on our website at www.ylcr.net we are asking for pre-registration to limit "gatherings" at the Show booth. See page 12 for entry form. Trail Ride - Let's try for a Turkey Trail Ride, those interested let us know if you prefer Nov 22 or 29th? Local or Trailer out??

Hoof Beats by the Club President

Anniversary Show Time!! It is finally time that we are able to celebrate 50 Years in existence and what better way, than with a Horse Show. We hope you will join us on November 8, 2020, at the Paxton arena, 8 AM through mid-afternoon. The Show Premium and all Show forms can be found on our website www.ylcr.net. Come, join the fun with or without your horse, as there is something for everyone, with extraordinary anniversary awards for the competitors and raffle opportunities for our spectators. Thank You to all of our Show Sponsors, as obviously we could not do this without you. We haven’t had a general meeting since February 2020 due to the COVID restrictions but we are excited for our Nov. 4th meeting, where we can again celebrate our 50th Anniversary. We will have a special something for everyone and introduce a great guest speaker in Mady from Purina Feed. I’ve heard great things on the education we will receive from Mady, I know we all have a feeding program but it never hurts to hear the latest programs developed by a historic company. See Page 2 for the Meeting time and details, and our NEW YLCR T-Shirts will be available at the meeting, for $10.00 each. We hope to see you, it’s been TOO long!!! The Campout at Casper’s thru October 9th -11th, was a small but mighty group. A great weekend with perfect weather, we saw 6 deer and one snake. Our pot-luck was a huge success, as always. Walter and Lisa came down just for dinner and brought the BEST COOKIES this side of Mississippi. We will be planning a Turkey Trail Ride and we are contemplating Nov. 22 or 29. Let me know if you are interested and which date you prefer. Lastly, we have decided to go on with our Famous After-Christmas-Christmas Party, meaning we usually have it in early January. I’ll send the date and details as it gets closer. Meanwhile, stay safe and healthy and we hope to see you at our upcoming events. Happy Trails, DEE DEE
