We are now organizing 11th Edition of PharmaTech Expo & LabTech Expo 2020 from 4th to 6th March 2020 at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai. This is India’s Premier Pharma & Lab Expo.

PharmaTech Expo & LabTech Expo 2020 is an International Exhibition on Pharma Machinery, Formulations, API’s, Nutraceutical, Analytical, Lab & Packaging Equipment. This will give opportunities to Suppliers, Manufacturers, Industrialists, Entrepreneurs, Buyer and Consultants to interact at this common platform.

The exhibition will be spread over an Area of 11000 Square meters and about 300 companies will display their products and expected to be visited by 10,000 industry people.

Indo-African Chamber of Commerce & Industry is concurrently organising Reverse Buyers Sellers Meet (RBSM) and inviting about fifty buyers and five ambassadors from African countries. IACCI is also organising a seminar on “Opportunity and scope for Indian Pharma Industry in Africa” wherein the Consulate / Diplomats / Trade Officers will speak about the opportunities at various African countries.

The record of growth of the Indian pharmaceutical industry is virtually unmatched amongst other sectors of the Indian industry because the growth has been explosive. Today, what is striking is that the exports from this industry is more than 40% of production in the country. The export has reached to US $ 19.13 billion during 2018-2019 and being exported to about 200 countries.

In fact India is now the fifth largest producer of drugs and pharmaceutical after USA, Japan, Europe and China. The industry include about 20,000 companies at present and pharma market is expected to reach to US $ 32.2 billion by 2023.

Indian companies manufacture 85% of the active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) required by the country and account for 90% of the pharmaceutical exports. The Indian pharmaceutical sector has made the country self-sufficient in almost all the 300 essential drugs through indigenous process technology. The pharmaceutical industry employs close to 30 lakh people and more than two third employed are highly qualified in areas like research, quality assurance, pharmacy and chemistry, engineering, business and technical managers.

India is the only country with largest number of US-FDA compliant plants (more than 262 including APIs) outside of USA. We have nearly 1500 WHO-GMP approved Pharma Plants, 253 European Directorate of Quality Medicines (EDQM) approved plants with modern state of the art Technology. No other country can boast of such an infrastructure.

u Maharashtra and Gujarat are key equipment manufacturing centers in the country with Haryana, Gurgaon, Faridabad and Ambala emerging as the new production hubs.

u About 1000 pharmaceutical equipment and machinery manufacturing units cater to the demand of the domestic pharmaceutical industry. The estimated production is about rupees 1500 crores with about 10% growth and 7% export market.

u India currently exports pharmaceutical machinery and equipment to over 80 countries globally with the key export destinations such as USA, UK, Middle East, EU, etc. Thus along with the development of pharmaceutical companies, Pharmaceutical Machinery manufacturers are also advances themselves to meet the challenges of pharmaceutical industries.

Indian Market is growing at 15% annually, which is twice the world market growth rate.
