Message from the Ex-President of Squash South Africa

Welcome to all the participants, management, coaches and referees

to Pretoria for yet another Masters Squash IPT, this event is the

highlight of the year for many masters squash players.

The 2019 edition will, I have no doubt, be a fantastic event and Robert

More and his team have gone to great lengths to ensure that all the

participants will have an unforgettable tournament.

Pretoria always seems to present a fun but serious tournament as the

venues which are used all have good Court Facilities as well as suitable

entertainment areas. This all leads to a successful and enjoyable few

days of squash.

Some of you have travelled from far and wide to compete in different

age groups and meet up with friends made through the years and I

trust that all of you will have a good experience of rekindling

friendships and meeting new people which will create long term

memories.

Good luck to all, play hard and fair and may squash be the ultimate

winner!!

IAN PATTERSON

It is a great pleasure to welcome all Masters provincial players to the

2019 SA Masters Squash IPT being hosted by Northerns Masters in

Pretoria.

We look forward to the renewing of the many squash related

friendships made over the years at the SA Masters IPT – share all the

enjoyable social and competitive interactions in the days ahead.

Our appreciation goes to Robert More and the Northerns Masters

organising committee, for all their planning & organising to provide us

with a most rewarding and competitive tournament – the epitome of

the tradition and spirit of Masters squash.

Message from the Chairman Northerns Master Squash

ROBERT MORE

On behalf of NMSA we extend

a warm and hearty welcome

to all masters squash players

who are competing in the 2019 SA Masters Squash IPT being held in Pretoria.

Our committee and co-opted helpers have been extremely busy in putting the

tournament together with the hope that all competitors and others attending

the tournament as spectators thoroughly enjoy this short period together during

the tournament.

We have established a sub-committee to co-ordinate the draws and to ensure

that the various sections are competed in fairly equally, but above all that the

draws are in the best interest of squash.

The total number of entries has steadily declined in the past few years, but we

will at least be entertaining approximately 370 squash players who will be

competing in this tournament.

Sponsorship was a problem from the start, but with the assistance of a number

of small sponsors we were able to reduce the tournament levy this year as

opposed to what the levy was in the immediate past few years with the hope

that it was affordable for squash players to attend.

In contrast to previous years and with the assistance of sponsors we have been

able to again produce a booklet with all teams listed and schedule of matches

and events. Further to this the booklet contains information regarding places of

interest to visit, rules and regulations regarding the tournament, directions to

venues, emergency contact numbers, etc.

In conclusion play hard, play fair, but most importantly,

ENJOY YOURSELVES!!!
