43rd Annual Institute Dear Friends Dear Friends and Colleagues, On behalf of the Maryland Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, I invite you to our 43rd Annual Institute. This year, we have an outstanding educational program and many exciting social activities planned which includes a whirlwind tour of Washington, D.C. The Annual Institute Committee has done a fantastic job creating a program centering on the important issues facing healthcare both nationally and in Maryland. This year our event will return to National Harbor, Maryland. The Annual Institute will be held at the spectacular Gaylord National. We know that your time is valuable and that many of our member organizations continue to spend your education and travel budgets wisely in response to challenging financial conditions. Our Annual Institute is first class in terms of the educational value with quality speakers and the total amount of available CPE’s – 15. We again, are offering new members who join us at the Annual Institute a combination registration and membership fee of $600. This promotion provides a savings of $100 to people who attend the Institute and become new members. Membership will be effective October 1, 2013. We hope that you will join us at this exciting event, take advantage of this opportunity to listen to and learn from dynamic speakers and network with your fellow healthcare financial professionals. CancellationsA refund of the registration fee (less a $100 processing charge) will be granted if cancellation is received by September 11, 2013. NO REFUNDS will be granted after September 11, 2013. Substitutions may be made without charge but notification is required. Cancellations must be submitted in writing to Laureen Nolker at [email protected] or by fax at 410-328-7497.

She has held every officer position in the Maryland Chapter including serving as our President in 2007 - 2008. She was also Regional Executive for Region 4. She has earned the Bronze, Silver, Gold and Medal of Honor awards. Cathy is very active in the chapter and assists on the program and annual institute committees. She is the Chair for the new Spring Institute and a member of the Region 4 Conference Committee. She was very instrumental in assisting the Chapter in achieving HFMA’s highest award, The Shelton Award.
